Rapper Slim Thug Responds To Zeralyn On Twitter

Rapper Slim Thug stirred up a hornet’s nest recently when he voiced his opinion on black women in a VIBE magazine piece. Slim wrote:

“Black women have to bow down and let it be known that they gotta start working hard; they gotta start cooking and being down for they man more. They can’t just be running around with their head up in the air and passing all of us.“

Slim Thug is typical of negroes who blame black women for our own problems but never lends a hand to help us up.

As exotic dancer-turned-blogger Zeralyn pointed out on her blog, Slim’s unwillingness to support black women is legendary when he visits popular Gentlemen’s clubs such as ONYX in Dallas, Texas where she works.

I’m especially tired of MILLIONAIRES coming into adult establishments, sitting around with their groupies (these are men and women alike), looking at us dancers like trash and not tipping, getting a dance or anything… I can name a few other celebs like rapper Slim Thug who is infamous in the strip club community for not tipping girls.. Ig’nant dudes like Slim Thug don’t realize that stripping is an occupation — not a sport for his amusement. Strippers have bills to pay. If you’ve ever been in a strip club environment, you know that few women work harder for a living than they do.

So when a Slim Thug wanders into a strip club and watches the women dance without tipping them, he’s taking food out of their childen’s mouths.

Exotic dancers wear next to nothing while working on their feet for hours, dancing in frigid temperatures just so ignorant fools like Slim Thug can sit there and stare at them while he orders a burger and fries.

This is why you rarely see black guys like Slim Thug at the white strip clubs because those establishments don’t play that. Management at the white establishments will let a brotha know: You either tip the women or get the H3ll on!

I was going to be quiet when I saw this post earlier in the day, but I need someone to help me, did I miss the part where stripping became an “end of the road, I am going to retire from this” occupation?

I always viewed it as a “transitional occupation”. I always thought of it as an occupation where “People strip while their am in college”, “People strip as a part time job, “People strip to meet a baller and cash in on their lottery ticket [baby]” “Peopl strip to become a high end escort” type of occupation. I didn’t know bishes were trying to retire and collect some Social Security on this. SMH

on the topic: stripping, i see no difference than working at mcdonalds, just sexier and more money in theory, therefore i don’t ride with the general populations’ stone throwing and say do what you gotta do. but i do have to say she has a right to complain. most complain about our job situations until we are where we want to be. hopefully she will get to a job where she doesn’t have to complain about her work environment. most dancers i know (tampa, fl) focus towards being self-employed, freelance, etc.

I speak from experience, i worked in Atlantic City NJ from philly, on weekends i knew the temple and penn students that got on the bus with me to AC so they can strip on weekends, go back home and in school during week. are 90% of strippers college students? prob not, you either go down one of 2 paths, you are stripping as a side hustle, and do nothing else but until you dont have to anymore, you make a career out of it, and strip, then go to that room upstairs and do shows, do private parties, and maybe that that guy up on his offer and do movies (99% of porn stars start as strippers) but regardless SO WHAT? like i said 50 comments ago, the sex industry is here to stay, regardless how much you frown upon it. Life is about choices. I only have a problem when you make a choice and require others to respect that choice but don’t want to respect their opinion. I don’t care too much about people like Superhead that did what they wanted to do but then when it comes down to pay the piper for her choices, she wants to cry wolf.
