Obama as a Hindu God On the Cover of Newsweek
This can’t be good: this week’s edition of Newsweek magazine features an illustration of U.S. President Barack Obama on the cover as “Shiva the Destroyer” doing the “dance of death.” By the way, Shiva is considered to be a major Hindu deity, or a God.
Mr. Obama has gone to great lengths to convince Americans that he is a Christian and not a Muslim as polls have shown. So this cover won’t help the situation much.
I had my doubts that this was a real cover, so I called my contact over at Newsweek to confirm. This issue hits newsstands on November 22nd.
In happier news, Khloe Odom and her husband Lamar get into the holiday spirit on the cover of People Extra magazine.
Khloe wrote on her blog:
“Hi dolls! I’m so excited to share with you part of Lamar’s and my feature in People Magazine’s Holiday Issue!! This is going to be our first Christmas at our new house so it’s a really big deal for us. Last year we tried to go all out in our temporary home at the SLS Hotel, but even with the decorations, it still just wasn’t the same. This year we’ve taken holiday spirit to a whole new level.”

New Couple Alert: Kanye West and new girlfriend in Paris
Splash News has new pics up of troubled rapper Kanye West in Paris, France with a woman who isn’t Amber Rose.
The couple walked arm in arm as they visited the Versailles Palace. This is the same tourist attraction that Kanye took Amber to during happier times when she fulfilled her contractual obligations as his beard. But then Amber got the big head and started contracting her services out to nightclubs and such. So Kanye had to dump her because there was only room for one super sized ego in his camp, and hers wasn’t it. It’s hard to tell from these pics what the new chick looks like. But we can tell that she is Caucasian like Amber.
The boots that Kanye’s new boo is wearing are the Burberry Aviator Platform Boots that Janet Jackson was recently rocking. The boots retail for $1095.

Chelsea Handler Goes in On Phaedra Parks
For those of you who missed last night’s episode of ‘Chelsea Lately’, the comedian goes in on ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ cast member Phaedra Parks who dares to mention her BFF 50 Cent.
Chelsea — who many in the black community believes is an undercover racist — grills Phaedra for opting out of performing such motherly duties as breast feeding and burping her newborn baby.
Apparently, Chelsea isn’t aware that Phaedra is working off of a script.
“Hey, moron!,” says Chelsea. “You’re not giving birth to a Cabbage Patch kid!” Chelsea notes that Phaedra is an attorney who is married to an ex-con. “Sounds to me like she’s living the African American dream!,” she says.

Jay Z At Decoded Book Signing
Jay Z signed copies of his book Decoded at a New York area Barnes & Nobles today. Reports that only a limited number of books were shipped to stores resulted in false rumors that Decoded is sold out everywhere.
Elliott Wilson posted this video of Jay Z leaving the Barnes & Nobles store this afternoon. Would it kill Jigga to acknowledge the fans who actually cared enough to stand outside in the cold just to get a glimpse of him?

Celeb Style: Nicki Minaj Doesn’t Care What You Think
Rapper Nicki Minaj stopped to sign autographs for fans waiting outside The Wendy Williams show in New York City today. Nicki performed “Right Thru Me” live on the show and she discussed her debut CD Pink Friday, which drops on Pink Monday (Nov. 22).
Update:
Correction: after watching the video, it’s clear that Nicki is lip syncing as she always does. It’s hard to be real when you’re entire act is a gimmick.
