@Jaybee, u r absolutely right. That’s what Jesus said in Matthew. Notice I said “just about everyone knows” because the gospel is being taught in all four corners daily. Time is winding up and according 2 the signs that Jesus mentioned that would tell his coming is near I would say a LARGE portion of the world already knows about Jesus. Whether they accept him is another story. Trust me baby girl, I’m a soldier for Christ and I will continue to win souls for him as I have been doing. I hope u have accepted him also. No, I actually believe Scientology is a cult for people rich and stupid enough to think they can buy their way into a better afterlife.

To put it bluntly, after much thought and study, I believe that God is a man-made lie and that all religion is mind control.

The major religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam) are based on the same basic principles and it all comes down to people fighting over who has the best imaginary friend.

I don’t look down on people that do believe in a higher power because I could be wrong in my unbelief but I have a problem with people that try to force their belief on others.

I’m spiritual in that I believe all living beings have souls and that they go on after we die on this plane.

I see the soul as being our life force that is made of pure energy. Since energy can neither be created nor destroyed, I don’t think this life is the only life out there.

Now as to where that energy (our souls) go I can’t say. And that’s my biggest problem with religion. It convinces people that they know how everything is going to end and therefore closes their minds to so much that is beyond our human perceptions.

I don’t pray or anything like that but I understand why people do. Everyone needs something to help get them through this life to the one beyond.

I DO NOT believe in religion at all (I believe it’s man-made and just a way for people to further be divided) but I do believe there is DEFINITELY a higher power.

However, after attending different places of worship with friends (a mosque, a kingdom hall, a Buddhist temple, Pentecostal, Catholic, Baptist, etc…), I do believe that everybody is truly just praying to the same person under different names and different rules to follow.

But I hate how some religious zealots feel like they have to FORCE their beliefs down another’s throat. If it’s not YOUR soul, please stop worrying about saving it. Everybody needs to have their OWN relationship, with their OWN God, in their OWN way and on their OWN time. If it isn’t hurting anybody, leave ’em alone.

I don’t think you are wrong for wanting to help people. Whether it is your faith motivates you or it is just your nature it is not a bad thing at all.

My issue is that I don’t agree with you and other believers on what the right path is. Nor do I think I’m suffering because of that fact.

Should one try and save someone that doesn’t feel they need saving? It may not hurt but who does that really help in the end?
