Beyonce and Jay Z Celebrate 3rd Anniversary in the Bahamas
Beyonce, 29, and her rapper husband, Jay Z, 41, were spotted getting off a boat in the Bahamas yesterday. The island they’re staying on is the same one where Aaliyah died in an unfortunate plane crash on August 25, 2001.
Can you believe Jay Z and Beyonce have been married for 3 long years? The couple exchanged “I do’s” exactly 3 years ago today in a private residence in Manhattan. Even though everyone knew they were a couple, Bey and Jay never publicly admitted their romance until after they had been married. I don’t know how these two managed to stay together for so long, but they deserve kudos for staying happily married with all the outside pressures being put on them.

I decided at a young age I didn’t want to have kids. My family always looked at me sideways and said I would change my mind, etc, etc.
The truth is, if it wasn’t for me taking in my cousins almost four years ago I still wouldn’t have any kids of my own. And wouldn’t see anything wrong with that.

I was looking up some stuff on Aaliyah the other day and I said the exact same thing. If she was still alive Beyonce couldn’t hold a candle to her. She could sing, dance and act, bonafide triple threat.

I’m saying though, it seems society thinks when you can afford to have babies and you’re young and fertile there’s something wrong with you if you don’t. Like you’re less of a woman if you choose not to birf babies for your man.
Some women just don’t have that desire or even that motherly instinct that we’re supposedly born with.

I am 37 and have no children and I will never understand why people are so facinated with my ovaries and uterus. Its my decision that I dont have any children and that does not make me less of a woman compared to someone that does have children. I have 11 nieces and nephews who I love dearly and I am auntie to them and I spoil them rotten. I think its extremely rude of someone to ask me why I dont have children or do I want any, why do you care? I am a happy woman in my own so let me be please….thanks for letting me vent everybody lol. While I loved Aaliyah and she was a great talent Beyonce still is a powerhouse. She still would’ve excelled. As for people questioning Bey not having a baby yet if you had her life would you have one now? Honestly, as a mom who had my first child early I wish I would’ve waited. There were still so many things I wanted to do and as a young free woman I could have. Those things have to go on the back burner once you have kids because they are all consuming. I live for my kids

I was never a big fan of Aaliyah. She’s a “whisperer” like Ciara, Janet, Cassie, etc. I liked her songs but I didn’t think she was the best singer.

THANK YOU! even still Beyonce would have been known regardless. When did Aaliyah become this MEGASTAR. I was a fan of hers but most people didn’t check for her until she died.

I like Aailiya but Beyonce mos def still has her own presence….
Aaliyah was okay. I even still listen to her last album. But Beyonce is in a different lane then her.
I think if Liyah had lived she would have moved more toward movies like Queen Latifah did and I think she would have done well there.
While Bey could sing circles around her, I don’t think she could out act her.
Basically, I think they would have both been able to exist in the industry without stepping on each other’s toes.
Much as I hate to say it…cause I am not a stan or even really a fan…but first time I ever saw DC….I knew Bey was the standout. I mean this is before interviews…before the world knew her pops was the driving force…I knew she was going to be a star. And by then a whole LOTTA girl groups had come and gone…

Could’ve been Jay and Aaliyah who got married instead, never will know what would’ve come out of that.
