Rumor Control: Amy Winehouse was NOT adopting black girl

Last week, celebrity gossip blog TMZ.com broke the news that deceased singer Amy Winehouse was in the process of adopting a black island girl before she died.

According to TMZ, which seems to be borrowing from the MTO handbook of breaking false news first, and then fact checking, now claims a Winehouse rep denies the rumor that Winehouse was set to adopt a poor black girl from St. Lucia.

From TMZ.com:

Amy Winehouse was absolutely NOT going to adopt a 10-year-old girl from the island of St. Lucia … despite U.K. reports to the contrary …. Amy’s rep tells TMZ.

The Sunday Mirror reported Dannika Augustine and her grandmother both confirmed that Amy was about to begin the adoption process … and both of Dannika’s parents had signed off on the plan.

But Amy’s rep tells TMZ … “It’s not true” … adding, “I think [Amy] might have met her in St. Lucia, but she was in no way about to adopt her.”

Out of respect for the dead, on the pic. And I think it’s so funny that since it’s now “fashionable”, everytime the paps catch a flick of a yt celebrity around a black kid, they are automatically adopting them. Are black babies the new Hollywood accesory?

In their defense they were only reporting on an interview the girl and her grandma did. They didn’t attest to the story’s truthfulness like that stupid Soulja Boy story. I don’t know what is going on with TMZ these days.

TMZ has the resources to get their own news. It wouldn’t have taken much for them to contact Winehouse’s rep for the real story. I agree: something is going on at TMZ. I heard a rumor that Harvey Levin sold out to a large media conglomerate.

I really want to get bows on the back of my thighs with maybe a lace-up under it or a garter belt to look like stockings but i gotta cover the panther first. A prime example of why you don’t get tatts young. THe panther doesn’t rep the grown me at all. leaning towards the uncolored owl because i think i want to bring as little attention to my leg as possible. I feel a standout tatt won’t look good with very fem outfit
