Tamar Braxton’s Husband, Vince Herbert, Hospitalized in NY
The husband of “Braxton Family Values” star, Tamar Braxton, was hospitalized over the weekend in serious condition, according to a source close to the Braxton camp.
Vince Herbert was admitted to a New York hospital after experiencing breathing difficulties. The source said Herbert was being treated for a blood clot in his lungs.
Last week, Herbert accompanied his wife and her sisters to Atlanta on a promo tour for the show. They visited Spelman College on Wednesday and later attended a dinner/meet & greet at Frank Ski’s Restaurant and Lounge.
“He’ll be alright. He’s in our prayers, He’s a strong guy and he’ll pull through,” said the source, who added that Herbert’s condition has changed since he was hospitalized. The source indicated that Herbert was on a respirator to assist him with his breathing.
Earlier this year, tennis star Serena Williams was also hospitalized with a pulmonary embolism.
Pulmonary embolisms occur when blood clots originate in the leg and travel to the lungs. Usually more than one clot is involved and when that happens it is a medical emergency. Clots that block the main artery to the lungs can cause sudden death. A blood clot that originates in the leg is caused by Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). You can read more on DVT’s here.

This exec at my old company died from DVT after a long flight from the middle east. They say long airplane trips put people at a huge risk of suffering from DVT. It’s a killer.
I hope he gets better and starts eating a much healther diet. There I said it.
Watch he get out the hospital a 100 pounds lighter…they are gonna blame his weigh loss on this blood clot when in actuality he done went and had a gastric bypass…

Pulmonary embolisms doesn’t appear to have anything to do with weight (since Serena is arguably one of the fittest people out there) but for other health reasons he def should get his weight together

The term Pulmonary Embolism sends shivers up my spine and brings tears to my eyes. I’ve said it before, I had a close friend (like a big sister) unexpectedly pass away from this late last year, it is no joke.

Your lifestyle can and will have a significant factor in having a blood clot.
Smoking, BEING OVERWEIGHT….The excess weight increaes the risk of clots.

That’s why it’s important to get up and stretch those legs frequently during long flights. It should be airline protocol for flight attendants to remind passengers to move around during long hauls.

I hope he’s he does get a gastric bypass, either way hopefully he’ll loose the weight now. She probably steady feeding him and making sure insurance policy is up to date. Just saying….

yeah, we had a field day with rick but…the hypocrisy!!
i really like vince’s spirit and hope that he’s ok. it would be nice to see him tackle his weight on the show.
There’s no fun when ANYBODY is in this type of situation.
