Vanessa Bryant’s ex-stepdad: ‘Vanessa is just like her gold digging mom’
Kobe Bryant’s soon-to-be ex-wife, Vanessa, is a chip off the old block, according to her ex-stepfather who is spilling her tea to the media.
Celebrity blog TMZ.com spoke with Vanessa’s ex-stepfather, Stephen Laine, an inventory manager for a food company who was married to Vanessa’s mother from 1990 to 2003. Laine helped raise Vanessa from a child to a teen — she met Kobe when she was barely 17.
Laine tells TMZ.com: “Her mother taught her well to wait for the ten-year mark [before divorcing].”
He explains, “In California, it’s considered a long term marriage and then she gets paid for life or until she remarries — just like her mother is doing to me.”
Laine gripes about paying Vanessa’s mom $1,800 in spousal support every month “and clearly they don’t need it.” He said Vanessa’s mom lives like a true baller, free and clear, in one of Kobe’s mansions, courtesy of Vanessa.
“I have a six-year-old daughter and that money could be used toward her college fund or something,” says Laine. “You’d think she’d care. But no, she’s spiteful.”
Bryant, meanwhile, is being hotly pursued by every shameless gold digger on the west coast, including actress Sanaa Lathan. The 5-time NBA champ, who is nearing the end of a brilliant NBA career, will no doubt fall victim to another LSLH gold digger who will eventually clean out his bank accounts and leave him a lonely, broken man in his 40s.

The Saints are only successul in real good climates/domes. Their defense is secretly atrocious. The fact that they won’t have homefiled advantage has them doomed.
The Packers are quite simply the most overrated team in the history of sports. Not just saying this because they are our most hated rival. Aaron Rodgers is proven to be fragile and can’t take a lick. Combine that with injuries starting to hit the team and the offensive line looking shaky, and you see the REAL Packers. A front running team. They can’t go toe to toe with a slobberknocker type team.
The AFC is a joke since my son Peyton is out.

Kobe bought the Italian basketball team Olimpia Milano. Later he purchased an entire league with his father as commisioner. It was little more than him protecting his wealth in case the marriage failed.

But this isn’t NATURAL and doomed to failure. Eventually one of you WON’T be able to fight that urge any longer and it’s bound to hurt the other one’s feelings.
That’s why so many marriages end in divorce. There is no “lee-way” for humans to be humans. To expect two people to be 100% faithful for what could be several DECADES is just foolish to begin with. And it’s compunded for men because we have a higher sex drive than women.
Jill Scott’s solo on vh1′s diva show was superb. Boys II Men also did a great performance. Estelle and Travis McCOY were awful. MJB looked and sounded great. Chaka killed it too and looked phenomenal!

@Cali me and hubby have been together 12 years married 6. I haven’t gotten bored yet. I’m fortunate that we were high school friends first and that our releationship was based on our friendship. marriage hasn’t gotten hard yet for us. He came home from work one day and said I’m glad i like coming home to my wife. The guys at work are always complaining about their wives and saying they dread going home and he said he looks foward to coming home to me. That made me feel good!!

I believed Juanita loved her man. They both fought for the marriage (with drew divorce papers at least once), and she stayed after the murder of his father.
If money was all she was after, she could have left him as soon as the waters were troubled. I believe she wanted a nice lifestyle, and loved the man she shared that lifestyle with.
She’s been living a quiet life, and was a quiet person when she was in the public eye.
I don’t think she’s a hoe or was one.

Yeah, but at the time she woulda did better hooking up with one the lawyers she was working for. Jordan first Nike contract was for a million and he made another 3 million or so for the Bulls. Reggie Theus wasn’t making much less than that.
Again, at the time she woulda been better off with the baseball player. AND she rejected Jordan several times!

At Mrs. Loveleigh – That’s good stuff! Communication is the key, alot of couples stop communicating and expressing their wants and needs. As you get older and mature, your needs change and think some don’t feel like they need to express those changing needs. My current realtionship awesome, but I think I learned alot from my past marriage…About being attentive and “checking in”. Having a balance of work, children and taking time us “us”
