Chaka Khan Slams Clive Davis On Piers Morgan

Someone had to be the voice of reason in a town where “no” is a foreign language. That voice of reason was R&B legend Chaka Khan, who slammed Clive Davis for not canceling his annual pre-Grammy party, which was held in the same hotel where Whitney Houston’s body lay in rigor mortis on the 4th floor.

Chaka made her statements on Piers Morgan’s show on CNN last night. She said: “Knowing Whitney, I don’t believe that she would have said ‘the show must go on.'” Chaka added: “She’s the kind of woman that would have said, ‘uh huh! Stop everything! I’m not gonna be there.”

Chaka told Piers,
“I thought that was complete insanity. I don’t know what could motivate a person, to have a party, in a building, where the person, whose life he had influenced so enormously, and whose life had been affected by her…I don’t understand how that party went on.” Source

In the 2nd video, after the break, Chaka alluded to the “riff raff” and “dangerous people” (~~Ray J~~) who dragged Whitney to parties in the week before the party. “I wouldn’t have done that,” said Chaka.

I 1000% AGREE! It was very disgusting, tasteless, tacky, inappropriate! If that’s how Clive treats “family,” good luck to his relatives. I don’t care how people grieve…some celebs were on that carpet having too much of a good time…trying to be seen and all; Awkward interviews,etc. If they are about their rich life, they can afford to pay and go home early. If Clive truly cared and called everything off, the guests would have no choice but to accept that. Clive alone will make back the money spent after all of this…smh. Money talks. I of course agree with Chaka 1000%. the party had no business continuing with that woman’s body still up in that room. It’s still strange to me why it still went on and why they still decided to have a red carpet. She said drugs were always around them, including her. If you think about it Bobby didnt have that type of drug money but people want to blame him for introducing her to drugs not considering it could have been the other way around. I commend him for staying quiet while people point the finger at him as the reason she fell from grace. Not saying that he is completely innocent but as far as introducing her to it I would say he is. She said from her own mouth several times, no one forces her to do anything. She can be her own worst enemy or her own best friend. Its amazing to me but I see Rihanna and Chris as todays Whitney and Bobby in the sense everyone thought Whitney was an innocent pure could do no wrong person whose life got turned upside down by this bad boy Bobby Brown.
