A loyal reader sent in this disturbing video of a man being beaten by thugs who assume he’s gay apparently because he’s wearing a hairpiece and skinny jeans.

In the video, which was posted on Worldstarhiphop.com, the unidentified male victim, dressed in all black, was viciously punched without provocation as he exited a convenience store with another man dressed in an orange Tee (it isn’t clear if the two men are together).

When the victim hit the ground he was set upon by three thugs who savagely kicked and punched him as he cowered on the ground. The thug holding the camera laughed while another man off-camera screamed anti-gay hate slogans.

Update I, 6:43 pm ET:

The Washington Post has picked up the story under the title Atlanta Hate Crime Caught On Videotape. I had no idea this brutal attack occurred right here in Atlanta — the gay mecca of the south. We’re waiting for the local news to catch up.

Update II, 7:00 pm ET:

The Atlanta Journal Constitution was on top of this story earlier today. According to the AJC, Atlanta police are aware of the videotaped beating, which took place outside a convenience store on McDaniel street just south of the AU center. But police don’t know who the victim is or the date when the video was shot. The APD is urging the victim to come forward and press charges against his assailants.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident shown in the video to call Zone 3 police officers at 404-624-0674 or to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477.

Update III, 11:40 pm ET:

The AJC reports that the FBI has joined in the investigation:

In a prepared statement emailed to the media Monday night, U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said, “Along with the Atlanta Police Department, we are working to determine if the actions portrayed in the video violate federal law, including the hate crime statute.

“The actions depicted in the video are appalling and unacceptable in our community, and we encourage anyone with information about this video to contact the FBI or Atlanta Police,” Yates said.

According to TMZ reports:

Hazell Stoudemire, the older brother of NBA star Amare Stoudemire, died early this morning in a car accident in Florida … TMZ has learned.

The accident happened on Route 27 in Lake Wales. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Stoudemire was driving at a “high rate of speed” when he collided with the rear of a tractor trailer.

He died on the scene.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Stoudemire was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and they are unsure if alcohol was a factor.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KTLA) — Attorneys for the People for the Ethical Treatment of animals planned to ask a federal judge Monday to free five orcas from SeaWorld.

The group is arguing that five orcas — Tilikum, Katina, Kasatka, Ulises and Corky — should be protected by the 13th Amendment to the Constitution that bans slavery and involuntary servitude.

Kasatka, Corky and Ulises are in San Diego, while Tilikum and Katrina are in Orlando, Florida.

PETA announced its plans to sue SeaWorld several months ago, claiming that it was “keeping orca whales in slavery.”

“All five of these orcas were violently seized from the ocean and taken from their families as babies,” PETA President Ingred Newkirk said in a statement.

SeaWorld attorneys are asking the court to dismiss the lawsuit, saying it’s a publicity stunt for PETA.

A trainer drowned in February 2010 after Tilikum, a six-ton male orca, dragged her to the bottom of a tank.

NFL legend Warren Sapp has filed documents to try and lower his alimony and child support payments to his ex-wife — and it’s no wonder … she claims he’s fallen behind in his payments to the tune of $728,100!!!

According to court documents filed in Florida, as part of his divorce judgment back in 2007, Sapp was ordered to pay $15,000/month in support for his two kids and another $45,000/month in alimony.

But Sapp’s ex, Jamiko, claims that since March 2010, he hasn’t been following the terms of the judgment. She claims he’s been paying random amounts each month and NOTHING at all for two of the months.

Jamiko claims Warren’s missed payments amount to $728,100 and filed a motion asking a judge to enforce their divorce agreement.

In October 2011, Sapp filed documents of his own … asking a judge to lower his monthly payments.

A judge has yet to rule on either request.

We reached out to a rep for Warren — nothing back.

But when I get my visitor every month I do use Summer’s Eve douche in plain or fresh scent just once or twice during my cycle. My husband and i went to dinner with another couple (my co-worker & her husband–they invited us) and the co-worker’s husband was LIVID and didn’t want to be served by the Gay waiter. My husband and I were looking at each other like “what’s the big deal?” The co-worker laughed it off and said her husband didn’t like Gay men & the way they acted. I mean the way the co-worker husband was acting made me think he know the guy or something.
Fast forward months later, the co-worker and I had lunch and she just broke down crying saying that her sex life is not going well. Her husband doesn’t even touch her.
