Mark Cuban: “We’re NOT firing Lamar Odom”

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is disputing reports that he demoted his star forward Lamar Odom to a lower level team.

Cuban tells TMZ.com that Lamar Odom will rejoin the team after a brief “rehab” stint down with his D-League team. Cuban said the decision was Odom’s to make.

Cuban explains, “[Lamar] is doing great. D-League is rehab. [He] needs to get in great shape and then rejoin the Mavs.”

He continues, “Know how baseball teams send a guy down to the minor leagues to get some games in and get timing back? Same thing.”

“Things are going great. He is working super hard. All is good.”

Odom is expected to rejoin the Mavericks when they face Oklahoma City on Monday (Mar. 5).

This is good news for Odom’s wife Khloe Kardashian, who never stopped supporting her man. Khloe took to social network Twitter.com last night to rail against blogs who are only focused on spreading false gossip.

I actually think Khloe will stay with Lamar contract or no contract. Supposedly this is gonna give him time to get back on his feet and get his game together and they’re still paying him his salary. I feel bad for him though but maybe he’ll bounce back even strong and/or find something else that will benefit him more

Odom’s agent, Jeff Schwartz, issued a statement Friday in response to speculation that the assignment to the Legends was a demotion from the Mavericks.

“The whole idea of going to the D-League was Lamar’s,” Schwartz said. “He proposed it to the Mavs; they never asked him. He wanted to get some floor time in actual game conditions before rejoining the team. People need to educate themselves on the rules in place here. NBA veterans don’t get sent to the D-League without their consent.”

According to new rules implemented this season, NBA veterans with more than two years of service time can only be assigned to the D-League on baseball-style rehab stints with the consent of the player as well as the Players Association.

Odom had two private workouts Friday with Mavs consultant Tim Grgurich, who was flown in this week specifically to help Odom get ready for his return to the Mavs, according to ESPN.com’s Marc Stein.

Carlisle presumed that Odom has likely not worked out much during his time away from the team. He said Friday’s workouts went well. Carlisle said he still believes Odom can make a positive contribution this season.

Basically, he needs to get over or work through whatever it is that’s affecting his game and it was his idea to play the 1 game with the D league to get him back ready. I think the whole way the Lakers tried to get rid of him has him shook and he lost his confidence. Plus I would doubt if the Kardashian pimp has been in his wife’s ear about him getting traded and his future either.

Glenn Grothman, Wisconsin Senator, Proposes Law That Declares Single Parenthood Child Abuse

A controversial bill targeting single parents came to the table at the Senate Committee on Public Health, Human Services and Revenue public hearing in Wisconsin this week.

State senator Glenn Grothman, an admitted opponent of the social welfare establishment that he believes encourages women to have children out of wedlock, introduced Senate Bill 507, which would formally consider single parenthood a contributing factor to child abuse, if passed into law.

SB507 would require the Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board to emphasize that non-marital parenthood is a contributing factor to child abuse and neglect.

Single parents make up a third of Wisconsin parents, The Annie E. Casey Foundation reports. And according to a 2009 report from the US Census Bureau, there are approximately 13.7 million single parents across the U.S., with single mothers outpacing single fathers five to one.

Grothman’s previous attack on the left wing contended that because social programs are available to the poor, liberals want people to be poor and use them, financial benefits he says are driving the rise in single motherhood among low-income moms

the thing is that most normal mainstream people didn’t vote in the Mid term 2010 elections. The most rapidly political extremists voted. So this is who they voted in. He is only catering to his base.

I do not how Khloe talks to mama Kris at times but I still like Khloe all the same. Khloe and Kris knew Lamar may not ALWAYS be a Laker trades happen all the time. I like the Kardashian’s though they hustle the hell out of their brand and I am not mad at them.
