The Florida state attorney’s office has released a treasure trove of ‘discovery’ in the George Zimmerman 2nd degree murder case. The booty includes 6 jail house phone calls between Shellie Zimmerman and George Zimmerman, who is accused of gunning down 17-year-old Trayvon Martin last February in Sanford, Florida.

On one of the tapes Zimmerman is heard joking about wearing a hoodie while hiding in a car after leaving jail in April. The ‘hoodie’ remark is believe to be a reference to the item of clothing that Trayvon wore as he walked through the rain to his father’s friend’s home in a gated community.

Zimmerman spotted Trayvon and called 911 to report him as “suspicious” because he was wearing a hoodie.

“We could have two cars, we could have two rented cars,” Zimmerman told his wife during the April 16 phone call.

Zimmerman joked about wearing a disguise inside the vehicle, “Well, I have my hoodie,” he said.

In other calls, Zimmerman and his wife talked about the outpouring of support from the public in the form of cash donations to his personal website, which has since been shut down.

“Oh, man, that feels good,” he told his wife.

“What?” asks his wife.

“That there are people in America that care,” he said.

“Yeah they do,” she answered. “Trust me, and boy, after what happened yesterday, so many people (sic) your website kept crashing.”

A few moments later, she said, “After all this is over, you’re going to be able to have a great life.”

“We will,” he corrected her.

“Yeah, we will.”

“I’m excited,” he said.

Zimmerman also instructed his wife to buy him and his attorney, Mark O’Mara, bullet-proof vests, and she told George he was a “role model.”

Later, they discussed the lavish lifestyle they would lead on other people’s money — donations which were intended to help Zimmerman pay his mounting legal bills.

Shellie Zimmerman herself was arrested and released last week for lying under oath about the cash donations during a bond hearing for Zimmerman on April 20.

Shellie told the judge she had no idea how much money had been collected via PayPal.

Bank records show Shellie transferred $90,000 in amounts under $10,000 so the bank wouldn’t report the funds to the IRS. Several transfers to her account and the account of Zimmerman’s sister were in the amounts of $9,990 or $9,999.
