Tameka Foster-Raymond won a small victory in court on Monday. Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane found singer Usher Raymond, 33, in “willful contempt” of court for violating provisions of a 2009 settlement agreement concerning his two sons with ex-wife, Foster-Raymond.
According to court documents obtained by Hip Hop Enquirer blog, Judge Tipton Lane found that Mr. Raymond traveled with their two boys outside of Georgia without Foster-Raymond’s permission, and that he refused to inform her of the children’s whereabouts.
According to court documents, a nanny testified that, during a trip to California to deliver the children to their father, the nanny stayed overnight in a hotel, and was not given a phone number to contact Raymond — a violation of the 2009 agreement.
Foster-Raymond testified in court that, in another instance, she did not know the children were in California until she saw “red carpet” photos of the boys with their father.
Judge Tipton-Lane noted that Foster-Raymond “graciously relaxed” the visitation schedule to accommodate Raymond’s work schedule so he could see his sons.
The judge ordered Mr. Raymond to reopen a Saks Fifth Avenue card that he closed last year, in violation of the 2009 agreement. According to court documents, Judge Tipton Lane found that Mr. Raymond did not offer any evidence that Foster-Raymond abused the card or failed to make payments on the card.
Foster-Raymond complained that the card was vital to her business as a celebrity stylist. The Saks card is by invitation-only to privileged customers who spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in Saks stores annually.
The court also ordered Raymond to pay $1,300 in reimbursements to one of Foster-Raymond’s nannies. Foster-Raymond had asked for $34,000 in reimbursements for nanny costs.
The judge did not release a ruling on the child custody aspect of the case. That decision is expected later today. Mr. Raymond is seeking full custody of his 2 sons, citing Foster-Raymond’s mental instability.

Mama Dee was actually on the Tom Joyner Morning Show this morning….She used to be a nurse before she was hit head-on by a teenage drunk driver and hd to have several surgeries including a hip replacement. That was in 1997 she was struggling financially so that is when she was intoduced to “the game”….She owed a brothal (sp) and started pimping out women. She actually sounded more sane during that interview then ever before…
Ugh…coming from this exact same situation I know how she must feel. My heart goes out to her. Praise God I was able to work it out with him WITHOUT getting the courts involved.
Those that judge her cannot be mothers in my opinion. The love you have for your child is one that is not to be explained.

when i spread them wide for a celebrity singer who travels quite often, with a nanny, and the kids are with HIM for visitation, i could request notice but PERMISSION is out of the question. because it would work both ways for me. i’m not asking a kneegro’s permission to go ANYWHERE with my child. and if i traveled for a living, it could get kinda crazy making sure some nosey azz ex-spouse has my itinerary. this is what SHE chose when SHE chose to have babies with URSH.
they can’t work together because of how contentious their relationship is and she seems to be hung up on the other woman. if she REALLY cared, she would stop acting the azz and maybe he would start sending her texts or have the nanny give her updates.

i did that yesterday and it was kinda strange cause ain’t shyt out there. in one, she looked kinda young but the rest were like kinda old. it’s hard to really tell what she looks like because the camera has never gotten a really good shot.
Most divorce decrees require notice and permission before traveling out of state. We just don’t get to peek into everyone’s relationship. I guarantee when Meka find someone else, Usher will be all in her mix

but this is usher’s BUSINESS. he doesn’t just work in georgia. my husband is not required to request permission to travel anywhere with the kids. he would need permission to travel out of the country and maybe a court order to take up residence in another state.

i believe they are doing this out of spite. in georgia, you have to take child parenting or some kind of divorce class about the kids and how to do what’s right for them. i’m sure this is all discussed. that’s why i said it will never be right between these two as long as it is contentous. people do not understand that, in the end, the children suffer and they are SMART. there have been many times where my kids will apologize for their mother’s behavior and they are stressed because they have to deal with BOTH sides. they do things they don’t want to do. they hear things they shouldn’t have to hear. it’s ridiculous!

@Free it’s very common in any custody agreement though for both parents to inform and receive permission to take the children out of state. My agreement states out of the county because I checked that box as well and the fool didn’t read it all the way through. And when I left although I didn’t want him to know exactly where I was going (and he still doesn’t know), I did have the courtesy to inform those close to him that I was leaving with the kids and he knew how to contact me if necessary. Can you imagine waking up thinking your kids are one place only to find out later that they were someplace completely different? And God forbid, as she unfortunately has found out the hard way, that something happens to those children and she has no idea where they actually are. Or there’s a natural disaster, and she’s watching the news thinking her babies are safe and they’re really not. Or something happens to her and no one can find the kids. You don’t do that to a parent. Any parent period.
