Willow Smith may only be a teenager, but she is a young woman that knows what she does and does not want out of life. She recently spoke to V Magazine about the real reasons why she turned down the starring role in the upcoming “Annie” remake.

“I just wanted to chill, and be at home, and decompress, and just find out what I wanna do and where I stand on this planet, with the little tiny place we have,” Willow revealed during the interview. “I just feel like I want to do it different than the world’s ready for. I’m enjoying just being independent and doing my own thing.”

The young starlet also recently did a stunning photo shoot with Karl Lagerfeld, styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, in which she was able to show her unique and eclectic style.

“I can never tell what I’m gonna wear,” Willow said about her style. ”I kind of just put on whatever feels right. Sometimes that’s Converse and a T-shirt, sometimes it’s Givenchy heels and leather pants.”

She also had some nice things to say about her photographer Karl Lagerfeld. She said that he is “very, very friendly and open. I thought he was gonna be really mysterious, like peering over his glasses, evaluating. But he was just awesome. I don’t have words, because he’s such a huge icon.”

First thing’s first – I had no plans to watch what I had automatically assumed was “chick tv”… as I get enough with Atlanta Housewives, but as a writer, I have to admit that the pace of this show is phenomenal for BET <– I suspect that had this show been on another channel, it would win awards outside of the "coveted" BET award.

This show is great entertainment, screw that "side chick" schtick because people are going to always find something to whine about. If this show is about the REAL world, then in the REAL world, some women sleep with married men. If you can see all of these successful women of color on this show and all you can focus on is the fact that she's been with a man that she didn't even KNOW was married until she was caught up, then take another look. Hell, if anybody looks bad, it's the BROTHER – and I don't take it personally because it's television.

You can't be mad at a black CHARACTER having an affair, but love it when the white ladies of Secks in the City did it. You can't get mad when Olivia Pope sleeps with a black man, but tuned in to watch Erica Kane make a career out of it on All My Children. Or The ones who did it on The Young & The Restless, or whatever your show of choice was/is.

It’s real simple, there are characters on shows that irk me, that chick that died from the walking dead, the daughter in Revenge, Emily on General Hopsital shyt the list can go on point people are entitled to feel how they want to feel about a character and I like all the ladies in sex in the city…. do I like Gabbriel character, she alright….. but I’m team wife on the show … and I like the show too it be just that simple….. @OTB for college basketball I am watching the daggone FALLOUT of the ACC since they let in all these stray azz teams.

Last night was number 22 Pitt (stray ass team that is new this year to the conf) and Georgia Tech (one that they coulda gave away instead of letting Maryland leave)…

I aint got time for whatever it ill Mary Jane doing til after April. Then I be watching NBA playoffs. So it will be late June til I have time for Mary Jane.
