Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey

The nation’s Capital was buzzing after President Obama and his daughters, Malia and Sasha, returned to D.C. from their 2 week Hawaiian vacation without first lady Michelle Obama, who stayed behind in Hawaii with her bestie Oprah Winfrey.

The Obamas vacationed in Kailua, on the island of Oahu, before the president and his daughters departed the island. Heightened Secret Service activity near Oprah’s 11-room, 17-acre estate in Kula, Maui indicated Mrs. Obama was visiting.

Reporters traveling with the Obamas couldn’t confirm the visit, but a local told a newspaper Mrs. Obama was still in Hawaii.

“Two young guys were there and Maui police officers, and they said the road is going to be closed for the next week,” Paul Meyer, a Maui local, told The Maui News. “I asked, ‘Is Michelle Obama in town?’ and the policeman just nodded.”

According to Gossip website TMZ, Oprah plans to join the First Lady at the estate to celebrate Mrs. Obama’s 50th birthday with close friends.

Oprah’s love life has long been the subject of intense scrutiny. It has been rumored that Oprah and her bestie Gayle King were lovers. But the once close relationship between the two women seems to have cooled in recent years. By coincidence, the Obamas haven’t behaved like husband and wife in years.

The body language between Oprah and Michelle Obama speaks volumes. I will leave you to draw your own conclusions about why a woman would leave her husband and children to spend a few nights on a romantic island with a known lesbian.
