A Christian rapper who likely suffered from religious and paranoid delusions castrated himself before jumping off a building in LA on Wednesday. Andre Johnson, a member of the rap group Northstar, survived his fall, gossip tabloid TMZ reports.
Johnson, who was associated with the rap group Wu-Tang Clan, went by the stage names Christ Bearer and Andre Roxx.
Police believe that the jump from the second floor balcony in North Hollywood was a suicide attempt.

CNN reports that L.A. police indicated Johnson was seriously injured, but survived the fall from the building in North Hollywood. He was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital in critical condition.
According to the TMZ report, fellow Northstar members lived in the building and told TMZ that Johnson was not on “any hard drugs that would cause him to do such a thing.”
