Death Row Records founder Suge Knight collapsed in court after a judge set his bail at $25 million on Friday.
Knight, who is known for his histrionics in court, slumped over in his seat and hit his head on the chair as he slid to the floor.
Paramedics who were already on stand-by in court rushed over to collect Mr. Knight off the floor and load him onto a stretcher for his now routine ambulance ride to the hospital. Knight has collapsed in court on several previous occasions. His medical ailments range from "stomach problems" to blindness in one or both eyes.
Outside the courtroom, Knight's attorney, Matthew Fletcher, recited the usual gripes about his client being unfairly treated by the system for running over 2 men, killing one of them with his SUV.
"He's being treated worse than Charles Manson," Fletcher told the Associated Press. Fletcher said his client is a diabetic who has a blood clot, and has not received his medication since Thursday.
Fletcher had asked the judge to set Knight's bail at $2 million.
