Kendra Hatcher

There is a major break in the murder-for-hire case of Dallas pediatric dentist Kendra Hatcher.

Hatcher, 35, was shot to death in the parking garage of her luxury high rise apartment in Dallas, Texas on Sept. 2.

Dallas police announced the arrest of Kristopher Love during a press conference late Friday. Love is charged with capital murder and is being held on $2.5 million bond.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Brenda Delgado, the scorned ex-lover of Hatcher’s boyfriend. Delgado is suspected of hiring Love to carry out the hit on Hatcher.

She was under 24-hour police surveillance but she managed to give police the slip. She is considered a fugitive.

Delgado once dated Hatcher’s boyfriend, dermatologist Ricardo Paniagua. Police say Delgado used an iPhone app to track Hatcher’s phone before she was killed.

Already in custody is 23-year-old dental assistant Crystal Cortes (pictured top right). She is charged with capital murder. Cortez drove the getaway vehicle that was seen in surveillance video leaving the parking garage. She is being held on $500,000 bail.

Cortes told police she thought she was participating in a simple robbery. She said she was to receive $500 from the ex-girlfriend in exchange for Hatcher’s driver’s license.

Police suspect the motive for Hatcher’s death was petty jealousy.
