Ayesha Curry

NBA star Steph Curry defended his wife, Ayesha Curry, for statements she made on social media.

Ayesha gained newfound respect among conservative women when she took to social media to defend her traditional style of dress, saying she covers herself up in public. Ayesha added that her goodies are for her man's eyes only.

Ayesha Curry

The mother of 2 tweeted that she dresses respectfully and appropriately in public and she only bares her goodies for her husband.

"Everyone's into barely wearing clothes these days huh?" Ayesha tweeted. "Not my style. I like to keep the good stuff covered up for the one who matters.

But Ayesha was criticized by Black twitter who accused her of insulting them and acting as if she was superior to them. They even circulated memes of Ayesha.

After the backlash on social media reached the mainstream media, Steph Curry defended his wife by saying he thought Twitter was for expressing opinions.

"Regardless of if you like my "style of clothes or not (which I don't care) please do not tear women down and degrade them. Not cool peeps," Ayesha tweeted.

"I'll take classy over [slutty] any day of the week," she added.

  • Dee

    YAWNING! !! Slow news day.

  • Yoni

    Move that arm, Steph.

  • jussaying

I don't have a problem with what she said, however, stating her preference the way she did indirectly does insult the women who do choose to show skin. And such, she is doing the exact thing she is claiming the naysayers are doing to her. I don't think it's that serious for people to have replied though.

  • thrift.store.jungle

as he should. i wish steph dressed more modest, tho. i did not need to see that beige thigh cocked up ??

  • SummerBaby

I don't see a problem with what she said & truthfully don't understand the backlash ?

  • OSHH

I don't understand the outrage personally, modesty is refreshing these days and a little mystery will never play out.

  • YES I SAID IT…

I'm like this, nothing she said was wrong she said what a lot of us are thinking. I never understood why some men prefer a fake looking woman that shows her body all the time instead of a sexy classy looking lady but leave it up to social media and instagram to say what's sexy a beautiful. U can still show a little skin and still be sexy and classy without looking trashy

  • MzApple

the internet and ig models are in their feelings

  • OSHH

    Me neither.

  • YOUR man chose BSweet #ohwell

The real question is, 'who was she talking about?' Was one of hubbies side boos in Instyle mag?

  • deee510

I think people were just waiting for something to hate on her about and jumped all over this.GO WARRIORS

  • harley_quinn2.0

Yeah I don't get the outrage but ok

  • Sriracha In My Bag

I'm just wondering why it was even an issue? When a person is "offended" why can't they just scroll past a comment and just chill? Folks was reaching for the stars with some of their reasoning. Had folks writing blogs and ish about...lol. I can't with people.

And she better than me cuz I woulda cussed me a few people for trying to be fake Sista Soulja's in my mentions..LOL.

  • BabyBlueJay

It was only the "New Year, New Me. Im focusing on my son" Twitter that were outraged...the rest of us were unbothered.

  • Bella

I'm still trying to understand what the big fuss is all about. I guess people feel like she is slut shaming.

  • http://Copblock.org aDingoDrankMyBabies

Im sick of this trend. The vocal athletes and their significant others constantly bombarding us with their so called conservative values. Initially I thought it was a nice change. Especially with the 90s era Cowboys shedding a horrible light on athletes and their troubles. However, the goody goody ish played out with Tebow. I would be passive aggressive and add that I like the Curry's, but...But I won't. If you want to speak out, speak out damnitt?? Dont play the punk role speaking on safe topics. Speak the fuq up on what's going on in this damn Country, say it with your chest??

  • jussaying

eh, she said her opinion. I personally could give an eff less about what some other broad is wearing and I really really do not care what men prefer to see in a woman. I dress for me - and sometimes that includes showing skin and other times I'm very modest pending my mood. I don't understand why we have to be polarized all the time.

  • Sriracha In My Bag

The fake outrage is what got me because some of those same women will be in the comments calling Amber, Kim, or Rih a slut. Hell some of those women were probably the ones dogging Amber for her slut walk...which side are you choosing beloved? Or do you just like being pressed and upset?

Wear what you wanna wear, be what you wanna be...half these folks wouldn't care about a dam Ayesha Curry opinion last year.

  • MookieFly

People only get mad when the message hits home, as it did for some instathots. Ijs

  • harley_quinn2.0

A hit dog will holler although I don't think there's anything to holler about it. That's just me.

  • jussaying

Agreed. I just think if you're going to engage with the public and voice opinions as a public figure then there should be an effort to really engage and speak about issues. As in noting the recent change in fashion and its correlation to sex trends going on etc. Granted I'm sure she wasn't trying to start anything but that tweet was like a passing fart.

  • Too Many Colors

Love these two. Loved him since Davidson (NC stand up?) And her since he proposed and they did 30's style engagement photo shoot.

    Okay bye

  • Rachel

She's getting backlash because without advertising their azz to the public, these social media "models" wouldn't have nothing to offer to a man.

  • MookieFly

I think her comment was pertaining to the lengths people will go to get a like online, not every day wear. At least that's what I got from it

  • YES I SAID IT…

I've seen pics of her that showed a little skin but hey it is what it is

  • ?Patty Kakes?

Good for you gurl. Stand up for what you believe in. Its a wonderful thing when you have a man that will stand by his wife's decisions. God bless you both.

  • my view

    i agree

  • MoniquetheGeek

I don't have a problem with what she said either. I'm reading the above though as if she's replying to the critics rather than initiating the topic. Stating her preference the way she did was maybe because the people following her insulted her style and wants her to show more skin?? I don't know. I don't follow her, but that's how I read it.

  • MookieFly

    Bingo!

  • ramosyo

I ??? where the daughter gets her mouth from

  • jussaying

It looked like she was reading a magazine and just making a passing comment to me. I had a similar thought (that I did not feel the need to share with the world lol) when I was shopping and noticed all the lace overlay dresses that show your draws.

  • http://Copblock.org aDingoDrankMyBabies

    ???????

  • my view

So should celebs and athletes only be speaking out when it comes to the misfortune of this country?? She's not entitled to answer these people that keep coming for her style of dress?

  • i troll it like i see it

They look like they are related.

And since when is she a household name?

  • MzApple

    welp

  • my view

    right

  • jussaying

As long as you are comfortable and happy in what you're wearing, I personally don't see the issue. (assuming you use common sense and you are dressing for the occasion..)

  • my view

Didn't she speak out because someone posted on her twitter about how she dresses

  • i troll it like i see it

I don't even know why it's being reported on. It's all over my feed today I'm like "since when are the athletes non working wives important?!"

  • jazmine

Thank u idg why ppl don't understand that "I'm classy not slutty" is kinda mean but I'm sure she meant no harm.

  • Bella

    How is it mean?

  • i troll it like i see it

I too am wondering why did she make this declaration...WHO GIVES A FVCK?!

  • jazmine

It's almost like implying ppl that show skin are slutty/sluts

  • jussaying

    No.

  • http://sandrarose.com SandraRose

    I agree.

  • MookieFly

Well whether she was looking thru a magazine or ig/twitter/instagram, the truth still stands. BUT that goes for the whole society, not just women. So many dudes be ready to flop their footlong sub on their dirty bathroom counter for some quick likes. Oh well...ain't none of my business

  • jazmine

I've yet to see any hate to her tho most ppl seem to agree idk why ppl are acting like she needs to be defended

  • imright

idk Y ppl care wat Ayesha says? Y is her opinion so important?

  • SameoleJ

But in her post she didn't say slutty, she said trendy. When did slutty start meaning trendy. Hell, I don't dress trendy, but have on occasion, I have dressed slutty.

  • Bella

Well. Why else would you want to walk around looking like one if you aren't one?

  • BabyBlueJay

    LMAOOOO

  • 1/8

"But Ayesha was criticized by Black twitter who accused her of insulting them and acting as if she was superior to them."

I am called a snob and a prude, all the time, but I'm unapologetically, me.

When I used to blog, some of my readers often referred to me as a "self-hating f@ggot," because I often criticized gay men for knowingly sleeping with married men and spreading diseases.

  • Bella

Only the females that dress like sluts are offended.

  • iWasteTime

All those half naked hit dogs hollering!

  • jazmine

So what exactly makes it slutty? Legs, stomach cleavage? All of the above? Should you cover hair too?

  • MookieFly

It really depends to what lengths. "Showing some skin" seems to be a loose term these days. That can range from showing some shoulder to a full blown tour of the fallopian tubes

  • iWasteTime

oh that is why you are right at home here!
    'splains it all!

  • http://sandrarose.com SandraRose

I interpreted it as slutty because trendy is not what she meant.

  • harley_quinn2.0

    Exactly.

  • jussaying

No. You need to read from the bottom up. That's the order of tweets on Twitter.

  • http://Copblock.org aDingoDrankMyBabies

She made headline news with this. Too bad it wasn't something worth the headline news. I can't do it on my own?? She has millions of insta/twitter followers...For what again? Oh that's right, her husband?? That's not my point though. There's more important things going on right now. If Kim Kardashian of all people can use her platform to spread the word about Sandra Bland, so can Shaquita...Or whatever her name is?

  • SameoleJ

How do we know for sure? When I say trendy, I mean trendy. When I say slutty, I mean slutty. She could be the kind of person who says what she means. Maybe, maybe not :)

  • jussaying

    Lmfao illlll.

  • jazmine

Because she has one of those "goals" relationships lol

  • http://theempirefiend.tumblr.com/ Bird

Men were in their feelings too. They don't want her taking away from their free entertainment.

  • http://sandrarose.com SandraRose

But they are sluts. If you want to be respected you will cover up. Your sex organs are meant for reproduction and procreation, not to be put on display - unless you're a stripper.

  • jussaying

Her initial remarks reads like a logic question (the grammar term I can't remember right now for the life of me. Transitive phrase or something). Anyway the fact that she notes she'll take classy over trendy in itself has a hidden connotation. In that the opposite of classy would be "barely any clothes" so yes that's what she was getting at.

  • MookieFly

Eh I'd rather some celebs stick to topics they know best. Point and case, Raven on The View.

  • Canary Red™

OMG the love of my life....he looks so good in this meme. YES THE ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • jussaying

What do you consider a slut?

  • SameoleJ

Okay, but I take classy (classic) styles over trendy styles any day. I personally dislike trends and apparently "dressing slutty" has become a trend.

  • jussaying

    Lmao ok true.

  • Shaneika CowGyrl Kleinpeter

We live in a sad world where as common sence offends ppl. She honors her husband, and keeps her goods covered. Like any woman... REAL WOMAN would.
What do ppl do with antique cars... COVER THEM
Where do ppl put diamonds. IN A SAFE PLACE
Where do ppl put money. IN A VAULT
It's simple anything that's of any value will be covered up and locked down.
VALUE YOURSELF. Or no one will.
Be of some use. Don't be useless

  • my view

    Right lololol

  • http://sandrarose.com SandraRose

A slut is a disrespectful woman who walks around half naked. I don't want to see her cleavage and moose knuckle. That's why I respect Muslim women. They keep everything covered up for their man's eyes only.

  • Justlooking2SayIT

He thought Twitter was for expressing. He better recognize you gotta agree with everybody.

Good for the two of them. I agree with her.

  • SameoleJ

Some also consider dressing in goth and punk rock not classy, but those styles don't require you being almost naked. I guess everyone's definition view of what is classy differs by who you are talking to. Shoot my grandmother, would say women wearing baggy sweatpants isn't classy, but they are covered up.

  • ShaBerry14

its a shame something like this causes backlash. She was probably looking at some of these IG boutiques and wondering WTH just like me

  • Justlooking2SayIT

The the isse common sense is not sensible anymore.

  • MoniquetheGeek

Oh! I read it in the wrong order.

  • jussaying

Lmao well that's a diff definition than I've assumed it was all these years. God bless Muslim women could never be me underneath all those hot arse layers in the summer. I'd have a nose bleed and pass out.

  • YES I SAID IT…

I can't do nothing but agree with u

Hahha are ppl mad because they wish she posted ratchet pictures, and they can make their nasty, thirsty comments to her? I guess they're expecting her to behave like some of these other so called "Basketball Wives"...

  • ZRoJoTheLezBeyond

Ha! When he used to have hair!

  • Too Many Colors

Are we surprised she keeps herself covered? He met her at dang church camp. Their whole love story revolves around religious beliefs

  • Wildcat34

There was a time when walking out the house half naked was shameful. Women can still be sexy with clothes on. These new age women have taken it too damn far! There is no more mystery.

  • harley_quinn2.0

    Was he balding?

  • harley_quinn2.0

He was a little pudgy back then.

  • Wildcat34

I sense a storm coming with these two. They give the appearance of a perfect couple too much....this usually leads to trouble down the way.

  • ZRoJoTheLezBeyond

I thought he was since he decided to just go full bald. I could've sworn his hair was receding? I could be wrong..

  • my view

Apparently she should have used her platform to speak about things going on in this country......I mean Deray and Netta do plenty for everyone

  • APeachLikeMe

Can you say #marriagegoals - I follow her on IG and love her! I mean is she wrong? One can take a many of lessons from Ayesha!

  • SpillyNillie

Nope. Which is exactly why I don't understand the outrage. Let that woman cover up. Damn!

  • jussaying

    Omg I love my rockyyyy

  • Too Many Colors

She used to write a faith based lifestyle blog. My goodness. Folks act like she became Mary Magdalene overnight!! She been covered.

  • iyonah

No one cares... damn. The whole thing is annoying.

  • Sriracha In My Bag

You must didn't see the swarm of women (sadly mostly Black) lighting her up Sunday. A women even wrote a think piece on it..folks was reaching for the stars saying she was promoting rape culture and some other ish..I tuned out.

  • http://Copblock.org aDingoDrankMyBabies

Hmmm. That image is hard to live up to. Brandy had a tough time living up to that image. So much so that she faked a marriage. Whitney couldn't maintain it...Yeah. This clothing subject is sooooooo candy landish. Clothes don't make the woman. If she wants to spark a productive debate-Talk about something that's worth talking about. Get out of the damn kiddie pool and swim with the adults??

  • Readytochokemothernatureonout

Omg I'm mad he defended it. Let her cover up if she wants. People truly need to find some stuff to do.

  • Ms.Capricorn101

And little do she know, these same women she's talking about, her man will cheat with. Adults dress how they want to.

  • jussaying

To me I always thought attitude over style of dress. There's people who can look well and put together with a short dress versus those with pants and top on but that's just me.

  • Readytochokemothernatureonout

I dropped my Reece Christmas Tree on the floor and had a 8.9 magnitude tantrum about it. At 99 cent for one they not cheap.

  • Sriracha In My Bag

I was following her on twitter and IG for a couple of years now (before Curry mania) and she seems really down to earth and doesn't take herself seriously at all. She's better than me cuz she'll be on IG sometimes hair looking a mess, no makeup, just doing her...lol.

She's not always posing with purses that cost a year's worth of rent (no problem if you do that type of thing) or showing off all the shyt that most of us probably can't afford. I just think she has a modest personality.

  • Sriracha In My Bag

Hell ANYONE can be a jumpoff..no real requirements for that.

  • Wildcat34

LOL!! I agree. She did what was safe. Which is typical when you can't broaden your subject matter. Some topics are beyond comprehension.

  • jussaying

You can be sexy with less clothing on too as well as classy. Attitude plays a big part as well imo. For instance, Christina Milian's new video where she is with her ass tooted up in the air in lingerie looks slutty to me. But Diana Ross's video where she's also in a swimsuit or leotard dancing in Work That Body does not. Showing skin does not equally constitute to slutty. We are women and should be allowed to own our bodies and be comfortable in our skin and nudity doesn't always equate to sex. It is about how you carry yourself.

  • Sexy CJ

After the backlash on social media reached the mainstream media, Steph Curry defended his wife by saying he thought Twitter was for expressing opinions.........

  • eBay

Lingerie serves a different purpose than a swimsuit or leotard. One is for sxy time, the others are for athletic activity.

  • Monday

    ??????????

Certain women show way too much on social media then said there ain't no good men.

You can show skin if you want. I applaud her for sticking to her guns.

I miss the 90's when it was more about the brain and less skin.

  • Sriracha In My Bag

There's an entire heap of celebrities that I don't want speaking on my behalf..lol.

  • SpillyNillie

People are so easy to offend these days...she can cover up or let it hang and swang...doesn't affect me either way....

  • jussaying

They still show the same level of skin. And these days some of the material is also similar. However if you'd like to be super technical and petty (?) there have ALSO been videos of Christina in a swimsuit in the desert looking equally slutty while tooting her arse up. Additionally, I recall plenty of nineties lingerie music video scenes with lots of sheets - one of which was a Janet video if I'm not mistaken - that were tastefully done even though we saw some of her skin and no one was up in arms about them. Again, attitude comes into play and "reputation" when we use these words.

  • Too Many Colors

Curry is a huge sports name here in NC. I've followed him cause I am a huge college basketball fanatic. So when he proposed to her, hell she was part of package as WAGS are. Cosign she is FAR from the norm. This girl was TRULY probably just Tweeting. She meant zero harm. None

  • eBay

I wasn't trying to be either- actually I was building on your original statement of " Showing skin does not equally constitute to slutty" but since you want to be argumentative take it how you'd like.

  • Sexy CJ

“Regardless of if you like my “style of clothes or not (which I don’t care) please do not tear women down and degrade them,
    Not cool peeps".

“I’ll take classy over [slutty] any day of the week"..........

  • Bootcampgirl

At the end of the day, men are going to like what they like, trendy, slutty, etc...My cousin met her husband at Bike Week at Myrtle Beach..anyone who's been knows the attire...they been going strong for about 6 years now...#idontcareeitherway

  • Sriracha In My Bag

Well hun, it doesn't take skills, but I bet most of those "whores" would rather be wife than some sex toy.

  • jussaying

I'm not being argumentative, and didn't take it seriously as denoted by the smiley. You did a drive by comment that refuted one small aspect of a comment that wasn't the main objective but a supporting example. I welcome other opinions always, but not sure what point I was supposed to surmise given that small remark?? Should I assume you think women who wear lingerie are innately slutty? Not trying to be rude but if you want to engage, I'm going to need more is all.

  • Wildcat34

Absolutely. I agree completely. But not every woman is afforded the aurora of natural sex appeal. And I didn't mean not wearing clothes categorizes you as slutty. It is all about your demeanor and disposition.

  • MadameMixi

Cuz that's pretty much what Twitter is used for - to make declarations no one give a phuc about. Millions do it daily.

  • Canary Red™

Yea he was"thick" as they call it now ?
I looked at some pics online and he has lost a lot of weight...I still marry his sexy ass...

  • Sriracha In My Bag

that's really the black bottom line..lol...Twitter is for 140 characters of ish..I don't know when it became a beacon for truth..lol.

  • AnonymousRose

Well I agree with her, who get mad about chyt like this, smdh,

  • Ms.Capricorn101

@DTTS. Exactly folks need to mind their business worrying about how other grown people dress.

  • SameoleJ

Apparently, she "insinuated" slutty. But, yeah I am with you...EH

  • Wuts got Petty Davis Eyes..

I must be living on Bizzaro World and this is planet Htrae! Women who prefer to cover and only show their assets off to who put a ring on it is being demonized? But If she was on her IG in a bikini ala Amber Rose style saying "Yall are a trip wearing all those clothes like you do not my style I prefer to let it all hang out.... then we'd be saying what... I would rather my 16 year old read and see her pics over some of these "Instagram Models" all day...She got her ring a different way than MOST these baller wifes did and the problem is what now?

  • <—Doesn'tTalkToStrangers

You know I'm still kind of behind the times I guess, I don't have Twitter and I never understood the appeal of microblogging every other minute or throwing up what you think are little nuggets of wisdom (completely unsolicited) to the world. who even told her to start talking?! Are they angling for a reality show? They got to be.

  • jussaying

I agree with you. I will say that for me, there are certain styles that evoke the "slutty" trope versus the amount of skin shone. Like platform heels that are super big coupled with short bandage dresses/skirts and those dresses that are high cut in the legs and high cut in the chest as well. If you have small boobs and such it looks better but I've seen people who are falling out everywhere and it just looks bad.

  • Wildcat34

Oh and what is Steph Curry doing sitting on that bed waiting for his testicles to pop out!

  • abby500

Right! It's all subjective and Missy Ayeshia was being a wee bit judgemental.

  • SandrasNewFave

    Are you nut shaming him?

  • Sriracha In My Bag

She's been all over the tv lately because she has a cookbook coming out and she's been on youtube and blogging for a long time..it's just that Curry bandwagon people are just now finding out about her.

  • BabyBlueJay

so confused why people are bashing her for choosing to "cover up"...she never said she wants to talk around looking like nun, she just prefers classy over clothing that may be tasteless to some...I'm here for that.

  • Readytochokemothernatureonout

They named the child Auntie but I ain't emm care to look to see.

  • SandrasNewFave

I'ma guess every parent in here done named they child at some point. I'm sick of #westtoenailpolish being a headline.

    there you go!

  • Readytochokemothernatureonout

But bless them and their children as babies are blessings.

  • Wildcat34

Yes, it helps though when, women are aware of their body types and what looks good on them. Plus, it also depends on your look as well. For example...no matter what she wears, Sophia Vergara always has an usual look on her face, which always ruins her outfits. Not sure if it is the makeup, but something is off. Some women immediately radiate elegance, based on their mannerisms. I guess the bottom line is we are all different and that is fine. Me personally, I tend to dress to what looks good on me and feels comfortable.

  • SandrasNewFave

    certainly

  • anjanette b

Alot of us do dress like straight hoes. It good to see young girls pulling it in alittle so people can see our true beauty.

  • jussaying

Lmao @ unusual look. I think it's also everything she wears (or well at least her character Gloria) is always so freaking tight. No matter the occasion. And I agree with a certain elegance - and how they talk as well plays in part for me. I think your take would benefit most people - understanding what looks good on their body type and what is comfortable (physically and mentally).

  • MookieFly

Exactly. Stick to the day job

  • Empress

Why do women who go online FOR FREE and show all their nether regions get on their high horse about being "shamed" of all things? If I can see your budussy are seriously telling you can be shamed by a comment that does not even mention your name? This is complete BS. I cannot believe we are actually entertaining this nonsense that has got 12 year olds thinking their best camera angle is behind them. This generation has supplied millions of the most ridiculous pictures of "empowered" Black women of all time. Black women are not applauded for this behavior in the real World, and I think what she said is exactly right. And the thing is #TeamBucketNekkid doesn't know the difference between dressing sexy and dressing "barely there" and they are still going off because Heaven forbid they don't get likes on their next lingerie selfie. There is a big difference between short shorts and a thong. Our community needs balance, we need to stop condoning foolishness.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so upset!!! I saw an article about him having a baby and I scrolled down the article and it was a pic of them and her hard face. I went to Google and 'sho nuff'! I thought he was still married, never received that memo that he was divorced or the memo of his new girlfriend.

  • iWasteTime

    lmao!!!

  • Empress

Agreed, and also its the sluts who were angry about the comment. For some reason our community has embraced this idea that being naked on social is "empowering" when it is actually objectifying. Also that drunk White girl lifting her shirt online will one day be a supervisor while the black girl doing similar things will be taking orders on the drive thru.

  • nekkkyj

I agree with her she has two daughters she has to be a role model for them

  • Liah

    I agree...My mans eyes only....

  • Empress

I don't need to be psychic to know that the feeds of these young ladies who felt "slut shamed" are probably full of them slandering the appearance of other women. I doubt they have been online Praise dancing or just minding their own naked business this whole time. There is general undesirable behavior that goes along with wanting your claim to fame to be a Bad Bytch, a Bytch is not usually nice to others no matter how she or he is dressed.

  • SameoleJ

Weeeeellll, hit dogs don't always just holler!! Learned the hard way......by standing to close. #DOGGYSPRINKLES EWWW

  • Nix

I read that as satan west...

  • Jozie723

Its funny to me that people were really offended by her stating her preference. It's like we've forgotten that we are being judged by the way we dress everyday. No one knows your attitude when you bend over and show the world your behind. They simply know that your morals and values allow you to wear clothing that allows others to see your behind. But, we already know this or you wouldn't;'t have an interview outfit or a church dress.

  • Switchblade Slim

Most women with big butts and boobs have nothing else to offer; that's why they showcase it. I'd rather a smart chick with no body, than a voluptuous dummy/slut who can only lay on her back, and take selfies.

  • Wildcat34

I am....put some longer shorts on!

  • Well.well$well

I guess people aren't allowed to have an opinion anymore...She didn't insult women who reveal more skin she said it wasn't her preference. How is that an insult? If anybody else had said this people wouldn't have been offended...?

  • Decked Out

because she is DEFENDING not being a THOT or STRIPPER she is BACKLASHED...what is this WORLD coming to. #CoverYoAzz

  • Auditor

Naw I work hard on these arms and stomach. Plus you only get to be young once. I love my crop tops with a little cleavage. And I'll be damned if I get shamed for it...she got a right to her opinion.

  • Auditor

Don't forget he'll cheat with precious too..

  • smartchickfl

Thank you! I take NO offense to what she said. She has a right to an opinion, but I'm going to wear whatever I please.

  • Guess Who

LOL. I work out daily as well but I will tell you this....even covered up if your body is tight, your clothes are going to drape on your frame a certain way. You can TELL when the body is tight even fully clothed.

  • Ms.Capricorn101

@Audit. Lol. Nope i think you have went too far.

  • Auditor

    True true

  • Auditor

Had to Google her...um I don't see anything wrong with the way she dresses. To me it's not even "modest" on the way she dresses. I definitely saw some boobs n legs out but OK. She definitely doesn't dress like a "whore" with 10 inch heels and a skirt that almost shoes her lips. So I dunno...damned if you do damned if you don't.

  • Auditor

    Exactly

hoes all butthurt over being called hoes. fracking comedy

  • Smith Jane

    Taken from tumblr

the problem with separating women in terms of “worthy” and “unworthy” based on how they dress or express their sexuality is dangerous due to the things society will allow to happen to women deemed “unworthy”. things like abuse. things like rape. things like murder. it’s the issue of dehumanization that is at the root of careless “opinions” like ayesha curry’s tweet. we’re not talking about fashion preferences (who cares honestly), we’re talking about societal currency and what a life means or doesn’t mean in the context of justice and personal utility.

  • sunni_daze

Hit dogs holla. So its safe to say all the thots and h03s were in an uproar. It goes to show those complaining most likely only have s3x to offer a man.

  • http://sandrarose.com SandraRose

    Exactly.

  • stanley

She wasn't just speaking on her own style, she was condemning women's right to be Smuts, and that's not right!!!! This is America dammit. And if a girl wants to show her "goods" she has the right to do so.

If she wants to live her life as a Nun, that's fine. But keep your opinions to yourself honey. And if you don't like half dressed Models, actors and singers, then don't buy the magazines.

  • Evillene

Ayesha is the wife of a high-profile, internationally known black athlete. She is in the public eye and her choices are valid for someone in her position. No one is bothered by what any chick from around the block wants to wear, do or say.

  • eljjai

Well, I for one, am happy to see a black woman (is she black?) stand up for something other than ratchetness.

  • tynamight

    Love that lady!!!
