Kanye West

Prodigal son Kanye West returns to his roots with his latest musical offering, the emotional single “Real Friends,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, off his upcoming album, Swish.

A bonus track, “No More Parties in LA” features rapper-of-the-moment Kendrick Lamar.

Kanye tweeted a link to “Real Friends” on Friday night but he quickly deleted it, saying there was a distortion in the main loop of the track.

But it didn’t matter; half of his followers had already downloaded the distorted track from the link.

Kanye later uploaded a fixed version of the song to his website, Kanyewest.com.

“Real Friends” is part biographical, part preachy sermon on keeping his friends close and paying off his enemies.

Kanye explains that a cousin stole his laptop which contained videos of Kanye engaging in intimate acts with various groupies. Kanye paid his cousin $250,000 to get the laptop back.

“Real Friends” kicks off the re-launch of Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Fridays, that promises new music every Friday.
