Thanks MOD! And thanks Summer for sharing ur story. My family is in a similar situation with my baby sister. She got pregnant by a lazy no gooder after dating him less than a year. He told her he didn’t want anymore kids (he already had two kids/two baby mothers and he’s not even 30 years old yet). She asked the fam’s opinion and we all told her it wouldn’t be wise to have the baby due to HER financial situation and barely being able to take care of her first child. Him being a sorry ass was secondary in addition to the fact that he doesn’t take care of/participate in the lives of the first two. We also told her (in light of his comment that he didn’t want anymore kids) that if she kept the baby, that she should do so not expecting his participation or support. Hubby and I also offered to raise the baby for her, or she could move in with us so we could help her with the two kids. Her oldest is in elementary.

She declined/didn’t take the advice/offer and chased after him/wore him down and they moved in together a few months before the baby was born. Long story short, she’s still with him. He works a little (and by little I mean a week or two), finds something wrong with the job and quits. All of em are living pillar to post, borrowing from folks never paying back, got evicted and have moved again but won’t tell us where they’ve moved to this time.

I’m so worried about her and those kids. Fukk that sorry ass nigga and to some degree fukk her too for putting innocent children through her bullshyt ass life choices. That’s my sister and I’ll always love her and be there for her and the kids, never his ass. Her phone is always off and she’ll only communicate with my mom intermittently which has us all wondering if he’s abusive to her and/or the kids. But legally, ain’t shyt we can do…our hands are tied. Why do women do shyt like this?!? Turn on the family that has loved, nurtured and supported her all over a nigga.

She doesn’t like it that we don’t like his ass so she wants nothing to do with us. I’m mad as hell and so sad at the same damn time. Thanks for letting me vent.
