Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg has put the smackdown on Bitcoin advertising on Facebook.com.

After today, Facebook users will no longer see ads such as: "Richard Branson Reveals Trading Bitcoins Will Make You Quit your job in 30 Days!".

Facebook announced it is banning all Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency ads on the social media platform. The surprise move is an effort to "protect Facebook users from “financial products and services frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices."

Facebook has been criticized for selling ads to scammers who promote shady get-rich-quick schemes. Many believe Bitcoin is an unstable Ponzi scheme.

“We want people to continue to discover and learn about new products and services through Facebook ads without fear of scams or deception,” said Facebook product management director Robert Leathern in a company blog post. “That said, there are many companies who are advertising binary options, ICOs and cryptocurrencies that are not currently operating in good faith.”

    Good!
CryptoCurrency is all fun and games until you're real life broke.
I do have an account though ... lol

  • Ozad

why didn't he ban all those Russian propaganda ads propping up Trump

  • INDUSTRY GURU

Mark has alot more work to do. Facebook is littered with ads from scammers , fleecers, and get rich quick huskers.

Consider this move by Facebook a message, and early warning of sorts. I suspect he targeted Bitcoin because Facebook is the bed with the Federal Government, the FEDS do NOT approve of Bitcoin

Pay attention because very soon you will hear about major Bitcoin exchanges being sized the Federal Government. Alot of people will loose what they have invested..

  • INDUSTRY GURU

    Good one, lol lol !

  • JRock

In other news, DMX black ass back in jail. I don't want to throw shade on the bruva or pass judgment on him because I know addicts are sick. But it was obvious with him that it was just a matter of time before he was back on that "ish"

He was taken into custody in a Manhattan court this morning for failing drug tests, which, of course, is a violation of his probation in his tax evasion case.

He tested positive for opiates, cocaine and oxycodone. The judge said DMX had told a "great big lie" when he agreed to his bail terms.

R.I.P. bruh. That's how it's going to be if you don't STOP.

  • hottlanta

Damn I bet that pee cup had all kinds of holes in them melting with all of those drugs in his system. So sad.

  • hottlanta

When the dust settles on this scam they gonna have so many dummy companies, LLC's and subsidiaries it is gonna be a hot mess. How you gonna buy money that hasn't been officially approved and gone through the process by the government as legitimate. A lot of folks money is gone offshore.

  • JRock

Very, very sad. Really was hoping he would win this time around against those demonic narcotics.

  • Dystaney Kimble

Fake information doesn't matter . Anytime you're getting a service free , you're the product . Your pictures , words , everything is and can be sold . Your name , idea , private messages, stored brained stormed thoughts ... . Literally everything ! It's crazy once you get into it but nothing is free .

  • Lynn9845

I work for a large Bank and they just let us know last week as of Feb 2 banks won’t allow you to buy bitcoin(and the others like it) as the Bank calls it cryptocurrency. with your credit cards or ach.

  • Lynn9845

They are seeing it as an issue with not being able to trace the money. So technically banks feel that Cryptocurrency is not having to follow regulations cc, regulation d and etc. which technically are the regulations that actually watches for money being sent and received for illegal activities especially terroist funding. Not saying that’s what ppl are using it for. My job is to watch for stop wire transfers that are deemed suspicious and ppl don’t how many dummy’s try to wire money for illegal stuff like the Bank won’t report them. Heck most banks you can’t even deposit cash into someone else’s account anymore.
