Sutton Tennyson

A man suspected of killing Sutton Tennyson, the ex-fiancé of Growing Up Hip Hop star Angela Simmons, turned himself in to police on Wednesday.

Tennyson, 37, was shot and killed during an argument in the driveway of his home in an upscale subdivision in Atlanta on Saturday, Nov. 3.

Witnesses tell police Tennyson, 37, was in his driveway talking to a man when an argument escalated and the man shot Tennyson multiple times in the head. The suspect fled the area in a car and is still at large.

Police arriving at the scene found Tennyson’s body, with multiple gunshot wounds, on the floor in his garage.

Michael Williams turned himself in to cops on Wednesday, and was charged with murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, according to TMZ.com.

Williams’ attorney, Jackie Patterson, claims his client is innocent, according to WENN.com.

Angela, the 31-year-old daughter of hip-hop legend Reverend Run, mourned Sutton’s death in a photo and video tribute on Instagram.

Alongside a photo of her ex and their son, two-year-old Sutton Jr., she wrote, “Thank you for leaving behind my greatest gift . I’m hurting . I’m numb… I cant believe I’m even saying Rest In Peace Sutton . I promise to hold SJ down in every way I promise (sic)”.

The former couple began dating in 2015 and soon became engaged, but parted ways last year after she caught him cheating.

Angela and Sutton were involved in child custody proceedings at the time of his murder.
