Wall Street's Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged 600 points on Friday amid global coronavirus fears as the death toll jumped to 213 cases in China and nearly 10,000 infections in 18 countries.

The S&P 500 was down 58 points (-1.77%) as stocks tumbled at the close of trading on Friday. Panicked investors dumped shares as the virus outbreak threatened China's economy. China is the world's 2nd largest economy.

Currently there are 6 confirmed coronavirus cases and 168 cases under investigation in the United States. "We are facing an unprecedented health threat," said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta.

The new coronavirus is a SARS-type virus that causes inflammation and swelling in the tiny air sacs in the lungs, which makes it difficult to breathe. The cause of death is multiple internal organ failure.

The White House issued a federal mandatory quarantine of 14 days for 195 American evacuees from China. They are currently being held under quarantine at a military base in California after arriving on a chartered plane from Wuhan this week.

The White House also declared the coronavirus outbreak as public health emergency in the US.

President Trump issued an executive order that will block all foreign nationals from entering the US, except for the immediate family of US citizens or permanent residents. The travel ban will begin at 5 p.m. ET on Sunday.

All flights returning to the US from anywhere in China will be routed through seven airports, including JFK in NY, Chicago O'Hare International Airport, Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Rapper Mase aired out his former boss, Sean "Puffy" Combs, calling the 50-year-old music mogul a hypocrite over his allegedly unfair business practices.

Mase, whose real name is Mason Betha, called out Combs after the mogul rejected his offer of $2 million for his music publishing.

Mase was one of the biggest artists on Comb's Bad Boy Records label. Among their hit songs was "Been Around the World."

Mase, 44, responded to Combs receiving the Recording Academy's Salute to Industry Icons award at the Grammy Awards on Sunday. He was annoyed when Combs vowed to give control back to artists.

The "Harlem World" rapper posted a photo of Meek Mill along with a tweet referencing "young Black kids in slave contracts in the music business."

"I heard your #Grammy speech about how u are now for the artist and about how the artist must take back control. So I will be the first to take that initiative," Mase wrote in a lengthy open letter to Puffy on Friday.

"Your past business practices knowingly has continued purposely starved your artist and been extremely unfair to the very same artist that helped u obtain that Icon Award on the iconic Badboy label. For example, u still got my publishing from 24 years ago in which u gave me $20k. Which makes me never want to work w/ u as any artist wouldn’t after u know someone is robbing you & tarnishing your name when u don’t want to comply w/ his horrendous business model."

Mase went on to describe offering Combs $2 million for his publishing, but Combs rejected his offer.

"To add insult, u keep screaming black excellence and love but I know love isn’t free. So I offered u 2m in cash just a few days ago to sell me back my publishing(as his biggest artist alive) that always show u respect for u giving me an opportunity at 19 yrs old. Your response was if I can match what the EUROPEAN GUY OFFER him that would be the only way I can get it back. Or else I can wait until I'm 50 years old and it will revert back to me from when I was 19 years old. You bought it for about 20k & I offered you 2m in cash. This is not black excellence at all. When our own race is enslaving us. If it’s about us owning, it can’t be about us owning each other. No More Hiding Behind "Love". U CHANGED? GIVE THE ARTIST BACK THEIR $$$. So they can take care of their families."

@diddy I heard your #Grammy speech about how u are now for the artist and about how the artist must take back control. So I will be the first to take that initiative. Also, before we ask of other ethnicities to do us right we should do us as black people better. Especially the creators. I heard u loud and clear when u said that u are now for the artist and to that my response is if u want to see change you can make a change today by starting with yourself. Your past business practices knowingly has continued purposely starved your artist and been extremely unfair to the very same artist that helped u obtain that Icon Award on the iconic Badboy label. For example, u still got my publishing from 24 years ago in which u gave me $20k. Which makes me never want to work w/ u as any artist wouldn’t after u know someone is robbing you & tarnishing your name when u don’t want to comply w/ his horrendous business model. However, people would always ask what’s up w/ Mase? So I would be forced to still perform to not look crazy when I was getting peanuts and the robbery would continue. So many great moments and people lives in music were lost. But again, I rode with u in the face of death without flinching & u still wouldn’t do right. I never said anything because I wanted to wait until I was financially great so I can ensured that I was addressing this from a pure place and not out of spite. To add insult, u keep screaming black excellence and love but I know love isn’t free. So I offered u 2m in cash just a few days ago to sell me back my publishing(as his biggest artist alive) that always show u respect for u giving me an opportunity at 19 yrs old. Rapper Offset was caught on video throwing punches after his wife Cardi B was accidentally sprayed with champagne during a night out at a strip club in Miami.

The incident happened on Thursday night at the Booby Trap strip club to kick off the big Super Bowl weekend.

According to TMZ, the Migos rapper, 28, and Cardi, 27, were standing on stage around 3 a.m. when someone in the crowd started spraying champagne in the air.

When some of the champagne splashed on Cardi, Offset jumped off stage and into the crowd where he started throwing punches.

Witnesses say he didn't care who he hit - men, women, transsexuals - it didn't matter to him. Meanwhile, Cardi, who recently had some work done on her face, was unbothered by the melee. She stood onstage and watched as club security broke up the fight.

In an unrelated incident, Offset was detained by police at The Grove shopping center in Los Angeles when someone reported a man with a gun in the parking deck.

Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, was one of two men detained by police because they fit the general description of a Black man with a gun. TMZ reports the rapper was not a arrested.

Rapper Pastor Troy is not backing down from comments he made about fellow rapper Lil Nas X, 20.

"Welp, Guess I won't be winning a GRAMMY if this what I gotta wear," Troy wrote. He then shared a bonding moment with his 14-year-old son at an Applebee's restaurant.

The Iowa Attorney General's Office is convinced that a man convicted of multiple sex crimes against children is no longer a public menace because he identifies a woman.

The Storm Lake Times reported that Joseph Smith, a 23-year-old convicted child molester was released from prison after undergoing gender reassignment surgery while behind bars.

Smith was imprisoned in 2014 after molesting a fellow high school student and molesting an estimated 15 children ranging in age from 15 to 1.

Smith received treatment for gender reassignment over the past two years at Newton Correctional Prison. In October 2017 he began using female pronouns and calling himself Josie.

Attorney General spokesmen Lynn Hicks suggested that Smith was no longer dangerous because he is taking female sex hormones.

Hicks told DISRN.com that "an offender's hormone levels are an important part of substantiating an offender's likelihood of recidivism."

"We don't believe we have evidence sufficient to prove Josie Smith has a significant chance of reoffending," Hicks said.

Pop singer Taylor Swift, who won 10 Grammy Awards in the past, skipped this year's live telecast from the Staples Center because The Recording Academy wouldn't guarantee she'd win Song of the Year.

A source told Page Six: "Her team called and wanted to be assured that she would win the Grammy. And while it wasn't an explicit demand, they certainly were fishing to find out if Taylor was a winner."

"It was understood in the conversation that if she's not winning she's not coming to the Grammys," the insider said.

Another source added: "It's widely known in the industry that [Taylor's team] called to find out if she was getting a Grammy, they wouldn't tell her, so she didn't go. It's not uncommon [for an artist] to want to know. And everyone knows Taylor loves to win, win, win."

A rep for Taylor told Page Six, "I am on the record: these statements by anonymous, unidentified 'sources' are absolutely 100 percent false and laughable. She just didn't go to the Grammy's. You guys need to calm down."

Insiders say the Academy wanted to fill inclusivity quotas after being accused of racism and exclusivity in the past.

One-hit wonder Lil Nas X, who is openly homosexual, took home two Grammy Awards for his gimmicky rap single "Old Town Road."

18-year-old mumble singer Billie Ellish, who is rumored to be bisexual, won 5 Grammy Awards, including the coveted Song of the Year.

China admits it was slow to react to the deadly coronavirus outbreak. The death toll has climbed to at least 213 amid claims that officials are hiding the true death toll by cremating bodies.

Crematorium employees are working overtime as it was revealed that bodies are being sent from hospitals without recording the actual numbers of dead in the official record.

More than 50 million people have been quarantined in and around Wuhan, where the first case of the virus was reported. The virus has spread around the world with nearly 10,000 people infected.

The first cases were confirmed in Britain and six confirmed cases in the United States includes the first person-to-person transmission in Chicago.

President Trump announced the U.S. is ready to cope with the killer virus. But CDC officials worry that the official figures are "way too low."

The confirmed cases of infection exceeds 8,096 cases from SARS, a similar virus outbreak that killed 774 people in more than two dozen countries in 2002-03.

Island Express Helicopters, the charter company that employed Kobe Bryant's pilot, has grounded its fleet of choppers as the FAA reports pilot Ara Zobayan was not cleared to fly in dense fog conditions.

Zobayan, 50, piloted the chopper that was chartered to carry Kobe, 41, his daughter Gianna, 13, and six other passengers from Newport Beach to Camarillo.

The tower lost contact with Zobayan about 2 minutes after warning him that he was too low to be tracked on radar.

The chopper descended rapidly and flew at top speed into a hillside near Calabasas. The crash left debris scattered over 500 feet.

The company which owns six Sikorsky S-76B choppers grounded its fleet as the investigation into Sunday's tragic crash continues.

Zobayan, who was licensed to fly under instrument rules, didn't have the legal authority to fly in fog because the company didn't have necessary certification.

Pilot Kurt Deetz, who previously ferried Kobe to destinations in the same helicopter, said Zobayan wasn't as experienced flying under instruments only.

Deetz said the pilot likely didn't have experience flying with instruments only because of the company's operating limitations.

"There is only one way you can be in the clouds, on an I.F.R. (instrument flight rules) flight plan or by accident," Deetz said.

Air traffic controllers at Burbank Airport had given Zobayan special visual flight rules clearance to fly with lower visibility due to the foggy conditions. The visibility that day was 3-5 miles - enough distance to see obstacles in front of his windscreen.

The Sikorsky S-76B is the largest and most luxurious helicopter. It is favored by celebrities and wealthy executive clients because of the roomy cabin. The same chopper with a different tail number was previously owned by the state of Illinois (pictured).

Island Express specialized in short hops from Long Beach, California to Catalina Island. A one-way ticket for a 15 minute trip to Catalina Island cost anywhere from $75 to $150 per passenger.

Kobe Bryant's cause of death was revealed by the Los Angeles coroner's office on Wednesday night.

Bryant, 41, his daughter, Gianna Bryant, 13, and seven others died in a suspicious helicopter crash on Sunday, Jan. 26.

The coroner said all of the victims died from "blunt trauma" in a high impact crash. The manner of death was listed as an "accident."

All 9 bodies were identified through DNA and fingerprints, the coroner's office confirmed.

"Through the use of DNA and fingerprints, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has identified all nine of the victims who died in a helicopter crash on Sunday," the statement said.

"On Tuesday body examinations were performed on all nine decedents. Their causes of death were certified as blunt trauma. The manner of death was certified as accident."

The other victims were identified as John Altobelli, 56, Alyssa Alobelli, 14, Keri Altobelli, 46, Sarah Chester, 45, Payton Chester, 13, Christina Mauser, 38, and the pilot Ara Zobayan, 50.

The coroner's report was released hours after Kobe's widow, Vanessa Bryant, 37, posted an emotional statement on Instagram.com.

"There aren't enough words to describe our pain right now. I take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved. We were so incredibly blessed to have then in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever. They were our beautiful blessings taken from us too soon. I'm not sure what our lives hold beyond today, and it's impossible to imagine life without them. But we wake up each day, trying to keep pushing because Kobe, and our baby girl, Gigi, are shining on us to light the way."

We are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe — the amazing father of our children; and my beautiful, sweet Gianna — a loving, thoughtful, and wonderful daughter, and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri. We are also devastated for the families who lost their loved ones on Sunday, and we share in their grief intimately. There aren’t enough words to describe our pain right now. I take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved. We were so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever. But we wake up each day, trying to keep pushing because Kobe, and our baby girl, Gigi, are shining on us to light the way. Our love for them is endless — and that’s to say, immeasurable. I just wish I could hug them, kiss them and bless them. Have them here with us, forever. Thank you for sharing your joy, your grief and your support with us. A Delta employee who shot and killed a female co-worker near Atlanta's Hartsfield Airport killed another woman on the same night, police say.

According to WSB-TV, Raeshaun Antonie Jones fatally shot 30-year-old Alexis Nicole Lee Reed in the employee parking lot near Hartsfield-Jackson Internal Airport on Sunday night.

Reed, a below-wing employee, had just finished her shift at the airport when she was ambushed by Jones who lay in wait for her in the parking lot.

Reed attempted to flee when she spotted Jones but she was shot three times, according to WSB-TV. She was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

According to a police report obtained by PEOPLE, College Park police say Jones was a suspect in a separate homicide of a female in Clayton County the same night.

Police found the body of Tyneishia Shelby, 33, at a hotel in Stockbridge, a city southeast of the airport. She was fatally shot, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Jones fatally shot himself when police attempted to stop a car in which he was a passenger in Lovejoy, according to the AJC.

The motive for the killings is unknown but police say Jones knew both women.

"This act of violence was not a random act, but all indications are they were specific in nature," College Park Police and Clayton County Police said in a report obtained by the AJC.

Reed's mother Shaunda Shepherd told the AJC that her daughter, who grew up in California, "was a very sweet, hard-working woman of Delta for 10 years. She lived a very simple life and loved life and family."

Shelby was described as "very loving, bright, caring" on a GoFundMe page launched to help pay for funeral expenses.

An obese woman was saved by two strangers after falling through the ice in a lake says she is being fat shame after a video of her rescue went viral.

The video was uploaded to Facebook by the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. The incident happened on Jan. 27 at 3:20 p.m. Korisa Miller lost her footing and slipped off the dock into the freezing water.

Two fisherman saw her in the water calling for help, but they struggled to lift her out of the water.

Miller took to social media to complain about the comments under the video on Facebook. She wrote that some viewers should be "ashamed" of themselves for mocking her weight.

Some Facebook users mocked her because the men couldn't lift her into the boat because she is too heavy. They also criticized her for ice fishing with no clothes on.

"I know better than to go on the ice when it is not fully frozen over I am not stupid," Miller said. "I did have clothes on. I had a hoodie and a large winter coat on. When they tried pulling me up, my hoodie and coat was choking me so they had to rip it off of me. I did not go fishing in a tank top."

Ari Shaffir's comedy career is circling the drain amid fierce public backlash to his comments about NBA legend Kobe Bryant.

Shaffir's talent agent dropped him, and a NY comedy club cancelled an upcoming show after the comedian made light of Kobe's death.

When the news broke that the former Lakers star died in a helicopter crash on Sunday, Shaffir joked that Kobe died "23 years too late."

Shaffir said Kobe should have died 23 years earlier, a crude reference to the NBA star's scandalous rape case in Colorado in 2003.

After the initial backlash, that included death threats, Shaffir claimed his Twitter account was hacked. When that excuse didn't work, he said he was only joking.

"Every time a beloved celerity dies I post some horrible shit about them. I've been doing it for years now,” he wrote. "I like destroying gods. And right when a famous person dies they're at their most worshipped. So as a response to all the outpouring of sympathy on social media, I post something vile. It's just a joke. I don't really hate any of the people."

He explained that he wasn't aware Kobe's daughter, Gianna, 13, was also on the helicopter when it crashed into a hillside in dense fog. Shaffir said he was just "looking to post some inappropriate jokes” to boost his follow count.

Explaining that he hated the Lakers because they would always "torch" his beloved Charlotte Hornets, Shaffir said he realized his post was inappropriate and he apologized.

"I'm not actually celebrating his death. I'm not actually celebrating any of their deaths. That's just an act."

A New York man who chained his car doors shut and burned his 3-year-old daughter alive inside the car has died from burn injuries eight months later.

Martin Periera waged a bitter custody battle with Cherone Coleman over their daughter, Zoey Pereira. The custody case ended in tragedy on a cold night in May 2019.

Moments before the tragedy, Pereira told Coleman: "You'll never see your daughter again.”

On May 5, Pereira, 39, placed Zoey in her car seat in the back of his 2008 Audi A6 and drove to an intersection in the Springfield Gardens neighborhood of Queens, NY.

Pereira chained the rear doors shut and poured gasoline inside the car. He ignited the gasoline and fled the car. A propane tank in the trunk and 2 gas containers fed the flames.

Little Zoey was burned alive in the back seat of the car. Periera, a construction worker, unwittingly set himself on fire.

He jumped into a nearby pond to put out the flames on his clothes. When paramedics found him hiding behind a tree not far from the burning car, he was stripped down to his underwear and suffering from second- and third-degree burns to 70 percent of his body, according to the NY Post.

Meghan Markle is known for being difficult to work with. Soon after she married Prince Harry in London, some of the Royal Family's longtime staffers departed the Palace in droves.

Now comes word that Meghan, 38, is "actively looking for a manager or agent" for "future projects."

A source tells Us Weekly that the former Suits actress is considering returning to Hollywood after giving up her C-list career to marry Harry in 2018.

Photo by UK Press via Getty Images

Meghan, who is currently living with Harry and their son Archie Harrison in Canada, convinced Harry to "step back" from their royal duties to jumpstart her acting career and "work to become financially independent."

"It can be a manager or an agent, but she's reaching out to people to find someone represent her for future professional projects."

But gossipmongers wonder what happened to Meghan's old agent? She reportedly had a team of agents and publicists? Did they all quit?

Though Netflix expressed interest in Meghan, other studios don't share their excitement. They say Meghan's acting skills are mediocre at best.

American media mogul Oprah Winfrey also declined to work with Meghan, presumably out of respect for Queen Elizabeth. Meghan reportedly took the rejection hard. She gave her first exclusive interview to Ellen Degeneres as a snub to Oprah.

A friend told DailyMail.com that Meghan informed her close friends quitting the royal family is the best thing that could ever happen to Prince Harry. The friend said "it was her love for him that made this possible."

"She said that like her, his spirit was being crushed and she simply couldn't stand to see him suffer anymore," the friend added.
