Kim Kardashian has pulled the trigger and filed for divorce from her absentee husband Kanye West.

According to TMZ, the couple has been in marriage counseling for months, but things didn’t work out.

The subject of divorce was batted back and forth for much of 2020, but they haven’t given up hope of a mutual agreement financially.

Multiple sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ, the marriage was in deep trouble for the last half of 2020.

Kim was ready to pull the plug on the marriage while Kanye was going through a serious bipolar episode, but she felt it wouldn’t be right to pull the rug out from under him while he was arguing with the voices in his head.

As your auntie told you last year, Kim and Kanye have been living separately for at least a year with Kanye spending the majority of his time in Wyoming while she was in Calabasas with their 4 children, North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 2, and 1-year-old Psalm.

Kim, who had divorce maven Laura Wasser, on retainer for years, began seriously considering filing months ago during the Covid-19 lockdowns.

The decision was put on hold over the Christmas holidays, but now Kim has given Wasser the green light to proceed.

The divorce proceedings are expected to be amicable and excruciatingly cordial for the children’s sake.

Kanye, 43, is already divorced in his head, but they are fully aligned on co-parenting.

According to TMZ, there is no third or 4th party involved. But don’t bet on it. At 40, Kim isn’t getting any younger.

Kim and Kanye tied the knot on May 24, 2014 after dating for several years.
