Local celebs speak to kids at 2011 SHOW ME Karma Teen Summit


Speakers included Ebony Steele of the Rickey Smiley Morning Show, Demetria McKinney of Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, celebrity deejay DJ Trauma, Verse Simmonds of Konvict Muzik, D. Woods Recording Artist, formerly of Danity Kane, Jive Recording Artist K Michelle, V-103′s radio personality Honey B, Author Michael McFadden, and Denise Hendricks, Producer of the Monique Show. So So Def Recording Artist Dondria made a special appearance to speak to young women about peer pressure, healthy relationships, assertiveness skills, and pro-social communication. Teens closed the event with a cake cutting, resource fair, candy bar, spa treatments, makeup sessions, and more. All teens were awarded a certificate of attendance for their full day of participation.
