Beyonce and Jay Z at Soul Train Birthday Bash

Beyonce Knowles-Carter celebrated her 36th birthday in style with a 1970s, Soul Train-themed birthday bash on the rooftop at the Nomad Hotel in New York City on Monday. Her actual born day was Sunday, but only A-list, super VIPs such as Michelle Obama were invited to that party. Beyonce and husband Jay Z were seen arriving fashionably late. They dressed as Soul Train dancers in fashions that were very popular back in the day. The party lasted until 5 a.m. when the cops shut it down for a noise complaint.

Someone must have talked some sense into Byeonce. She left her 4-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, at home.

EDIT: I stand corrected. My readers tell me that Blue Ivy was indeed at the grown folks party with her parents last night. The baby was the only minor there. She even danced down the Soul Train line with the drunks.

I had hoped that Blue had a chance at a normal life. But, sadly it doesn’t look like she will.
