UPDATE: Late Sunday night I received emails from friends of an artist who expressed suicidal ideations on his public social media page. I published one of the emails after the break.

I also receiving an email from the artist accusing me of making him feel "extremely uncomfortable" and invading his privacy.

I wrote this post with the best of intentions which was to get the word out to someone close to him in the hopes that they would intercede and get him the help that he needs.

Every other week the hashtag activists sounds the call to battle for what they believe is an injustice perpetrated against people of color by cops or the system. Usually the victims are minorities who wind up dead while in police custody.

Rap artist Tyler, the Creator recently suffered a mental breakdown. Tyler, who is rumored to be gay, revealed his mental issues in an article for his online magazine, Golf Media.

Instead of going to see a psychiatrist or a therapist who are paid to listen, Tyler called on rappers Andre 3000 and Earl Sweatshirt for advice to help him overcome his depression.

Robin Williams and daughter

One of the greatest actors the world has ever known is dead. Robin Williams reportedly took his own life on Monday, Aug. 11, at his California home. He was 63.

"Robin Williams passed away this morning," his media representative Mara Buxbaum told CNN.

His rep tells CNN the actor suffered from severe depression. The coroner's preliminary cause of death is "suicide due to asphyxia."

T-Pain said his experience with mental illness helped him to sympathize with troubled singer Chris Brown who was released from a California jail this week, and was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

USA Today obtained copies of troubled singer Chris Brown's shocking mugshots from a D.C. jail where he is incarcerated until his upcoming trial on assault charges later this month.

Brown was arrested on Oct. 27, 2013, and charged with felony assault of a man outside a D.C. hotel.

Rock legend Mick Jagger's longtime live-in girlfriend apparently took her own life early this morning, the NY Daily News reports.

L'Wren Scott, a 47-year-old fashion designer and model, was found dead in her Manhattan apartment Monday, police told the Daily News.

Scott's personal assistant discovered the body in Scott's luxury apartment at 200 11th Ave. around 10 a.m. She was hanging from a doorknob with a scarf wound tightly around her neck.

The 16-year-old transgender boy was voted homecoming queen of a California high school is still miserable. Cassidy Lynn Campbell was voted homecoming queen of Marina High School in Huntington Beach, Calif., on Friday, Sept. 20. On Saturday, Cassidy, wearing his tiara, uploaded an emotional video complaining of the negative feedback he's gotten since winning the crown.

"I'm so sad, I'm so distraught and so broken down and so upset and so deteriorated and so tired of the world," he wailed. "I'm always judged and I'm always looked down upon ... sometimes I wonder if it's even worth it and if I should just go back to being miserable."

It isn't easy being a 15-year-old teenager growing up in the public eye. Being the daughter of the greatest entertainer the world has ever seen only compounds the problem. But police say Paris Jackson's "suicide" attempt on Tuesday was simply a cry for attention.

"She wanted attention," law enforcement sources told TMZ. The superficial scrapes seen on Paris's arms in paparazzi photos are consistent with cutting behavior exhibited by troubled teens who are depressed and lack coping skills.

Paris Jackson

Michael Jackson's 15-year-old daughter, Paris Jackson, is doing fine after possibly attempting suicide early this morning. TMZ reports that Paris was taken out of her grandmother, Katherine's Calabasas, CA home on a stretcher around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

"Paris is physically fine and is getting appropriate medical attention," said Katherine Jackson's attorney, Perry Sanders, in a statement to TMZ.

"Being a sensitive 15 year old is difficult no matter who you are. It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you," said Sanders.

Medical Minute: Bipolar Disorder

Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, 43, returned home to her New York City apartment today after dropping her daughter off at school this morning. This is the first photo of Zeta-Jones since her much-publicized admission to a facility for treatment of bipolar disorder.

Her husband, Michael Douglas, described Zeta-Jones's admission to the facility as "a 10,000 mile check-up."

Zeta-Jones revealed her diagnosis exclusively to People magazine in July 2011. "This is a disorder that affects millions of people and I am one of them," she told the magazine.

Adrienne Bosh, wife of NBA Miami Heat star Chris Bosh, looks like she's suffering from an allergic reaction in her hind quarters. Maybe it was something she ate that caused her butt cheeks to swell up like that? Whatever the reason, I hope she feels better. That swelling looks painful.
