Last night, while I was editing photos, I noticed actress Samira Wiley had a dark vertical line on one of her thumbnails.

Most people have flat or slightly raised vertical lines or ridges on our fingernails and toenails. Long vertical lines that run the length of the nail are usually not a health concern.

But dark brown or black vertical lines or bands on nails should be evaluated by a doctor.

Kim Kardashian Struggles With A Skin Flair Up

Socialite Kim Kardashian, 34, was seen headed for the gym in New York City on Tuesday. A sharp-eyed photographer for INFphoto.com spotted what looks like psoriasis on Kim’s right leg. Psoriasis is a common skin condition caused by rapidly dividing skin cells that build up on the skin leaving red, itchy, inflamed, dry scales on the skin. Psoriasis is common among people with HIV/AIDS.
