I don’t doubt for a minute that the other girls had to tan to make Beyonce look lighter. She seems to be tanned too, but just enough to make her look golden. Sadly, it’s like things like this that take away from her talent. I’m not even a big fan, but I know if her father wants to build a solid legacy for her career, he should focus on what her strengths are: she can sing, she can dance and she’s gorgeous! the only reason this is an issue is because people care…who cares! i was about 7 shades darker when I was younger and now I’m rihanna’s color in the winter and darker in the summer??? and marques houston was dark on sister sister and now he’s bright, BUT WHO CARESSSSSSSSSS its skin it changes it burns it darkens it lightens and as an art and design student don’t believe everything you see in the videos or in magazines because photoshop is strongly influenced, if it was ever an issue they probably darken kelly and michelle in photoshop for the photoshoots….real talk ive had a graphic class and my teacher spilled the beans on what the industry does, but like someone said earlier if we stop worrying about it and carrying the issue will go away because no one is acknowledging it!

You know, black people change colors during the summer and winter. Michelle does look darker on the DC picture though — quite a bit darker. She may have tanned a little, who knows? But it wasn’t enough to turn her (knuckles and all) into a regular brown skinned woman. I think the lighting was stark in the Light Skinned Michelle picture. And, I think she had on a lot of foundation. The arms and stuff were just light…they’ve been covered up.
She looks sickly on both pictures, however. That never changes.
i look lighter/brighter on my pics from my digital camera….and i also look mighty flawless may i add ….and i don’t even do the make up thing….at least not foundation and all that crap. so with a good, quality camera, it does make you look brighter.
I think Sandra hates anyone with diamond records (not platinum) & their own stars on hollywood blvd. (i think thats the street) lets see when Rihanna reaches that plateau. I know for a fact that complexions change. Mine does!! I can spend an hour in the sun frying for a speckle of color, then when i come into work, all that frying was for nothin cuz I’m in a meat locker & brighten back up.
