NBC News anchor Sue Simmons who is normally classy and the consummate professional, dropped the f-bomb on the NBC Nightly news last night.
A red-faced Simmons apologized to NBC’s viewers later on in the broadcast. Has NBC ever heard of the 7-second delay?

Not only that but the video didn’t show her saying it. We only heard it. Maybe Sandra needs to show the video of her apologizing. Otherwise, I’m not sure that audio is real.
I heard the clip on the radio (and the apology too), now it makes sense, perhaps because the camera wasn’t on her she thought they turned off her mic… She might lose her job unless she’s really valuable to the station.
They fired Cari Champion over something similar and she said she didn’t say the MF, but said mothersucka instead.

I live in NY and heard it when it happened — it made me stop and look at the tv and reverse the DVR several times to be sure it was her, and I heard correctly. It was and I did!! I didn’t see the apology until this morning on another site. She did say it, and she did apologize (on camera). You’re not going to SEE her saying the “F-word” because it happened during a “teaser” and just before they cut to commercial, they showed a scene from another story, and she thought the commercial had started. I don’t think she was talking to her co-host though (Chuck Scarborough). They have a LOOONGG relationship, and he is VERY respected in NY (I suspect), and it’s doubtful if they talked like this to each other, she at least (ya know how it is), would not have that job. It was probably some poor production assistant or director that has to deal with her crap.

I always thought she appeared a little full of herself. I once saw her at a Broadway show, and she had a look on her face like she had just smelled sh*t and couldn’t figure out how she got caught outside with the “unwashed masses”. The fact that she isn’t perfect doesn’t surprise me in the least. She will not lose her job though. She is valuable to the station and her reputation, thus far, in the public at least, has been impeccable.
