When NY hotelier Leona Helmsley passed away last August, she left a nice chunk of her fortune – $12 million – to her pooch Trouble. Helmsley outlined in her will how she wanted the money spent on pampering her precious pet.
When her human heirs – her grandchildren – heard that they had been cut out of the will, they howled at the injustice of it all. A New York judge agreed and stripped Trouble of his inheritance. The pooch and his caretaker will now have to make do with a paltry $2 million.
Meanwhile, Helmsley’s two grandchildren will each get $6 million proving, there is justice for spoiled rich brats after all.
