The son of Jamaican reggae star Jah Mason was shot and killed during a TikTok livestream on Monday.

Jabari “Baba Skeng” Johnson, 25, was gunned down while talking to another TikToker on a livestream outside Queenie’s Snack Shop on Red Hills Road in St. Andrew, near Kingston.

The gunman, wearing a black hoodie and a face mask, crept up behind Jabari and fired one round into the back of his head. The killer continued to shoot as Jabari fell to the ground.

The execution occurred just days after Jah Mason celebrated his mother’s birthday on April 20.

This is the 4th execution-style murder of a Jamaican TikToker in recent months, according to the Jamaican Observer.

Jamaican TikToker Marlon Samuels was shot and killed in Montego Bay on December 20, 2024. Xavier “Niah Gang” Fogah, 23, was gunned down in St Catherine on December 7, 2024. And Keauno “Popsy” Watson, 23, was murdered by assassins in September 2024.

The St Andrew North Police are investigating the murders as possibly gang-related. No arrests have been made. Fans say the killers are part of rival gangs who earn money on TikTok.

In Kingston, the Capital of Jamaica, the number of murders of people aged 15 to 24 years has dropped from 17 percent in 2024 to 10 percent in 2025.
