Usher considers re-hiring his mother as his manager

I guess the babysitting gig didn’t work out? According to online reports, Usher is considering re-hiring his mother, Jonetta Patton, whom he famously fired just before Mother’s Day last year on orders of his wife Tameka Foster.

Usher recently attempted to save face by telling reporters he didn’t actually fire his mom – he just “retired” her so she could babysit his new son Usher Raymond V.

The mainstream media bought into that crock of bull, but we in the urban blogosphere were never fooled. We knew all along that Ush would fall flat on his face without Jonetta’s guiding hand. Usher is now reportedly blaming his mother’s replacement, Benny Medina, for his album’s disappointing sales (lol).

Usher has no one to blame but himself. Everyone tried to warn him about firing his mom who expertly managed his career for 15 years, but he refused to listen. My grandmother (RIP) used to say, “a hard head makes a soft behind”. The hope is that Ush will learn from his mistakes and go forward from here. But we doubt it.

When have you known Usher to come out and flop? No matter what, he could be gone for years and come back right to the top! So why would you want to go fooling around with that award winning (literally) recipe? He should have never let his mom go! Like they say too, “Mother knows best!”

Jonetta is a strong woman who raised her kids alone and devoted her life to making sure Usher’s dreams came true.

Come on MOCHA…when the downfall is that person’s own fault (for making OBVIOUS DUMB decisions) there is humor. Usher should have never let a man, I mean a woman come between him and his mother. That was the beginning of the end. He should have continued to listen and let her guide his career and I got a feeling he will wish he listened when she was trying her DAMNEST to keep him away from her high school classmate, I mean Tameka. He better start putting out those sweet smelling fragrances by the truckloads because his music is stinking up the place. (This comes from a woman who has all of Usher’s cds – not burned- before this last travesty. “Moving Mountains” makes my head hurt and Beyonce-ugh- and Lil Wayne saved “Love In The Club” on the remix BABY. Ne-yo and Chris Brown buried his little lame performance on the BET awards.) It’s over dude…

I’m sorry but people make bad decisions all the time he just now have to learn from his mistakes and move on… and I don’t know what goes on behind his closed doors but it’s never a good sign when you fire your mother before mother’s day and she doesn’t show up to your wedding… you may want to reevaluate your relationship with your significant other

I still don’t know if Benny can be blamed for this. The fact is I have not liked what I heard from this album so far. Jonetta was not his producer or song writer. Did Benny tell Usher that he needed to put more of a pop spin on his music? That’s what went wrong. They should have let Usher continue to do Usher instead of trying to turn him into Justin Timberlake.

Usher can only blame himself for this I mean the cd is not godd to me at all. i respect that he is in love and has a family and wants to share that with the world and that is cool i am not knocking that. It os okay to have a couple of songs about that but not the whole cd and that is wherehe messed up I think His cd is kind of corny I mean it has a couple of good songs but other than that it sucks to me.

Also Ursh mama didnt just manage, she was his advisor,she over saw his cloths before appearances,she would advise him on what to say in interviews and she told him the truth when it came to songs sounding like bullsh%t, unfortunatly because she was let go, she wanst able to let him know this album was bullsh%t

This is definitely a PR move…and I doubt it helps him much for ‘Here I Stand’ because as many of you said, its not a great album.

When I listen to it, the songs sound like a dedication album for Tameka. Only a couple are good and I was pissed spending my $$. He should have just given Tameka that cd as a wedding present or something…not as an album release. I expected him to come harder.

Anyway, I still wonder if JPat gets along with her or is it just a front. I guess they will be hiring a nanny now??!?!?
