A nightclub worker has confessed to the brutal murder of a 24-year-old woman during Lil’ Kim’s birthday party last weekend.
Rahman Syed, also 24, worked as a bartender’s assistant at Spotlight Live nightclub in Times Square. He confessed to killing Ingrid Rivera on Sunday night and stuffing her body in a utility shed on the roof of the nightclub.
Rivera’s body was found by a maintenance worker on Wednesday – 2 days after she had been reported missing by her mother.
The murdered woman was one of 500 guests at rapper Lil’ Kim’s birthday party held at Spotlight Live on Sunday night. Rivera was tossed out of the nightclub because she was drunk. She later crossed paths with Syed who told her he would take her to her friend inside the club.
Syed told police he lured Rivera to the rooftop shed where he beat Rivera in the head with a metal pipe after she refused his sexual advances.
No charges have been filed in the case. Rivera had worked as a ticket agent for Delta Airlines at Kennedy airport.

Damn WTF??? Discipline is no longer taught?
There are so many jump offs, hoes, whores, sluts in New York. Why kill a women because she don’t want to get busy with you? I’ve seen some bad ass females that are willing to take $50 for a happy ending. I just don’t get it? These dudes act like crack heads on the Puddy
That is just crazy …She said NO and got bludgeoned to death because she said NO .. Rape or Death ? This brother needs to be in general population and let someone use a “pipe” on him …
God Bless her Family ..
o.k. I’m just thinking here.. Who else did he kill?? this could not have been his first time doing something like this.. someone is not receptive to your sexual advances so you take a metal pipe to their head, and stuff them in a shed on a roof?? SMH.. some lunatic this is.. glad that caught his azz!! now, take that, take that!!!!!:~(
damn is all u can say
Oh my, what was wrong with HIM? I mean damn, did he have to kill her?
This is so sad. Some people are truely crazy. I hope that he doesn’t get some manslaughter plea deal because he came forward. He needs to be charged w/ murder. I don’t care what this girl may have said or even did, she did not deserve to be killed because she denied his advances. These men out here are desperate. Not all but alot of them are …. I pray her family is able to heal in time, I know it has to be rough.
Ok, did she know this guy? If not, why in the hell would you go on the roof top with him? Ok, he got her back in the club but what happen to thanks but moving on.
There has to be more to the story. However, I will be praying for her family.
GOD BLESS HER & HER FAMILY.
OH, and what happen to the buddy system. How in the heck could her friend let her go off with a strange man knowing she was drunk.
I am so lost on this story.

She was drunk therefore unable to make proper judgement.
@ JustSaying
I don’t think that her friend knew that she was out of the club – that’s what it sounds like. I’m guessing that he probably told her that the back way to the club was through the roof, and she was naive enough to believe him. But I do agree with the buddy system, if they were together, this would not have happened. This world is definitely getting to new lows.
I’m a bartender. This right here is the very reason why I ‘cut people off’ when I feel they’re nearing the bad judgement mark…male or female. Some people don’t know their limit. This in no way excuses what this monster did! Other reports say her friend was trying to follow her out of the club, but the bounces wouldn’t let her..yeah right! JS, the buddy system didn’t work here. She went to the club with someone who cared more about partying than she did about her friend.
this story is really sad…
on the flipside, i’ve never heard of bouncer making a person stay INSIDE a club…that’s a new one to me…there’s NO way in hell i would’ve let my “drunk” friend leave w/out me…i would’ve started acting crazy or pretended like i was drunk so i could get kicked out as well…i’m not blaming her friend, but there was clearly a lapse in judgement…
i definitely smell a lawsuit…
^^^i am a bartender as well and i agree^^^
drunk or not, that is ridiculous. wow wow wow.
Wow..I mean if you don’t know someone why would you go to the rooftop with them? This sounds so out of place. This is sad.

She didn’t knowingly go to the rooftop with him. This isn’t the whole story that sandra posted. She should of posted the one with more details.
this story does not seem right. something with the friend. i doubt the bouncers didnt want her to leave. and why would you give your friend your car keys if she is drunk. and then she also said the same guy took her to the roof also and she said fugg off. right.

Club worker Sayed Rahman, who police say confessed to slaying.
A Times Square club worker confessed to bludgeoning a drunken Queens woman and stuffing her body in a rooftop shed during a star-studded birthday party for rapper Lil’ Kim, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said Thursday.
Sayed Rahman told cops he lured Ingrid (China) Rivera, 24, to the roof of the Spotlight Live club, where he may have sexually assaulted her before smashing her head in with a pipe.
“It hurts so much to lose her,” Rivera’s friend, Sasha Castillo, told the Daily News. “I can’t believe he killed her.”
Rahman, who stocked the bar and carried ice, told investigators he targeted Rivera because she looked drunk after being kicked out of the club, which was packed with rap stars like Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes and Wyclef Jean.
Promising that he could get her back into the glitzy karaoke joint, Rahman led her to a freight elevator and whisked her to the VIP “Penthouse” room on the roof, sources said.
Up on the roof, Rahman, 24, may have tried to rape or rob Rivera, Kelly said.
Rahman, who is about 5-feet-4, apparently snapped when Rivera resisted and used a metal pipe to bash her twice in the back of the head. Then he jammed her lifeless body into a rooftop electrical room.
He was charged with second-degree murder.
A broken bottle of Champagne was found near her body and walls were splattered with Rivera’s blood.
Police suspected Rahman early on because he was one of few employees who had a key to a restricted area of the roof.
Castillo said he tried to talk her into going up to the roof moments before he pulled the same trick on Rahman.
Cops found a bloodied pipe at the crime scene and are trying to match fingerprints found on the weapon to Rahman.
Rivera’s body was found by a repairman Wednesday afternoon. Her clothes were torn.
A ticket agent for British Airways at Kennedy Airport, Rivera had donned a blue dress and silver heels to join her friend Castillo at Lil’ Kim’s birthday bash.
The women brought flowers for the bad-girl rapper and unknowingly handed them to Rahman early in the night.
Hours later, Rivera, who had been drinking, tried to retrieve the flowers but inadvertently walked into the club’s men’s room, Kelly said.
A manager threw Rivera out. Castillo said Rahman then offered to show her a way they could sneak Rivera back in.
“He promised we could help her but instead he took me to the roof and groped me,” said Castillo, her voice trembling. “I told him to ‘f— off!’ and then ran downstairs.”
Castillo said when she was able to leave the club a short time later, she couldn’t find her friend.
“I couldn’t see her, and I thought maybe she took a cab home,” she said. “I didn’t leave her. I tried to help.”
Rivera lived in Richmond Hill with her mother, Ingrid Estrada, and her 7-year-old brother Joshua. The distraught mom said her daughter was her best friend.
“‘If anything happens I will see you in heaven’ – I always said that to her,” Estrada recalled. “She was a sweet girl [and] I miss her.”
Rahman, who had no prior criminal record, was arrested at his family’s Harlem apartment. Charges were still pending late Thursday.
Spotlight, at W. 49th St. and Broadway, had no outstanding violations, according to the State Liquor Authority. None of the club’s surveillance cameras were working at the time of the slaying, according to a police source.

‘cuse meeeeeee
I think that is extremely disrespectful that the source chose to use the picture that they did. Who ever gave them that picture was no true friend to the victim.
He thought he could take advantage of her cause she was drunk…that is very sad, but she also should have been more cautious I would of snapped out of it is someone was taking me to the roof top ain’t that much being drunk in the world, you have to know when enough is enough.
Damn shame…
The whole thing is messed up…What is wrong with people? I just read a story where a guy (an evangelist) had his wife in the house dead and frozen, and it all came out when his daughter, whome he’d been raping for years, told on him!
…and that’s jacked up that the club’s cameras were not working…..she could have been saved….
Didn’t this happen in New York another time. Girl gets to drunk gets kicked out of club and ended up dead. I think last time it was the bouncer.
I really feel for this girls family I wouldn’t know what i would if this were a child of mine.

The question is not why she went to the rooftop? But why did this lunatic bludgeon her to death? You are missing the whole picture here.
^^agreed^^
SERIOUSLY…WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HE’S A STRAIGHT ANIMAL, I SAY WE SAVE OUR MONEY AND JUST SKIP A TRIAL, TAKE HIM OUT BACK, AND PUT TWO IN HIS SKULL.
from what i was told, Lil Kim just was stopping through. it was not her birthday party. Lil kim birthday is in the begining of July, so i dont think the August party was for her.
omg. how random. and sad.
