Due to my recent move to a new place, I have neither cable tv nor Internet. 
Luckily I have a working phone no thanks to Bellsouth/ATT. Anyway, I heard that T.I. and Rihanna rocked it at the VMAs. So I couldn’t wait for Dimewars.com or Worldstarhiphop.com to put the videos up!
Now that I’ve seen the performances for myself, I am convinced! We already know T.I. is the King, but Rihanna is the undisputed Queen!
Beyonce, Ashanti, et al, better hold on to your wigs ’cause Rihanna is coming to collect ’em! 
I loved the blond highlights in Rihanna’s hair and, of course, her styling was impeccable! Rihanna looked so H-A-W-T in those boots with the 5-inch heels. I was a little worried that RiRi would lose her balance and do a Beyonce, face first down the steps. But my girl is too cool to slip and fall on national TV. 
Rihanna easily had one of the worst performances of the nite. The whole show sucked….u didn’t miss much
I wasnt too impressed with Rihanna first performance and her second performance with TI was okay, PINK performance was better then Rihanna she is sooo STIFF. Lil wayne I have no words for that FUGLY goon him and TPAIN. Leona Lewis did okay job of Nina Simone “Misunderstood” she is still BORING.
Rhianna need vocal training asap and the girl has no stage presence AT ALL but her outfits were fabulous and the lyrics to that T.I.song she sang the hook to should have said ” I’m going broke from living my life” LOL
T.I. looks good as usual and so do Tiny for just having a baby!
i guess u will 4ever overlook the “hottest chick in the game” memo (or 4ever tweak it how u c fit, lol). u called ol girl the queen, which is hilarious! i don’t care how much u hate or get tired of bey, she is the $hit when it comes 2 performing. ashanti shouldn’t have been mentioned at all. i cringe everytime she performs. those american apparel leggings shes been wearing don’t help her thick a$$ either…

OK, SR we all know Rhi Rhi can LOOK good but come on now you know D@mn well that chick CAN NOT sing and she CAN NOT perform live. SHE SUCKS.
And for the record I don’t care for Bey either but I will take Bey any day over RHI RHI. HELL, I will take Solange over RHI RHI.

MTV blatantly staged Britney Spears’ come back. An awards she hasn’t even won in her hey day she wins last night 3 or 4 of them. I almost feel like I did the year Halle and Denzel won oscars on the same night…it’s just so yeah right, you know? I was ashamed of Lil Wayne, I’m thinking that because of the resources he had available, he’d try a little harder….I guess now, then Kid Rock coons him with that Chicken George hat on later in the show. The host was AWFUL, Rihanna did ok…but, I just felt like something was missing. Some of the performances were set-up on the back lot, so the were all a little awkward. Tip was pretty good. Xtina was great! It was good to see her stepping out of her element and do something edgy. TPain is another coon for always running around in those damn circus get-ups. He came in on an elephant! Dumb ass…It’s funny how LL was reduced to the new artist stage at stage right… The awards just keep getting worse and worse. I was also surprised they condensed it to two hours.

The award show SUCKED….not like how MTV awards used to be, exciting. T.I.’s performance was ok, I was hoping he wouldnt sing that awful song, “Whatever You Like” and sure enough he made my wishes come true and sang that hot mess of a song. It got a little better when he switched to Rihanna but her stage presence is always lookin like a stiff alien robot.
Everybody else sucked and the fact that Britney Spears kept winning awards showed me that the industry is full of sh*&. Video of the Year goes to Britney Spears? smdh

I agree w/ you 100%. Rihanna sucked. TI should got anyone else, but right now she still a FAD, truct me she will not last that long. That is the reason for the ROCK CHICK style and edgy hair cut. AS for Ashanti, whatever. BUT I am quite sure B aint giving a damn about stinkin ass, long head Rihanna. Time will tell. B’s cd will be out in NOV.

ri ri is so pretty but she got missed when they were handing out talent. needs to go back to “pon de replay” and try to recapture the magic.

The awards SUCKED! The worst ever….The crowd looked bored and I was dissapointed cuz Rhi Rhi was boring, too! Her notes were a lil’ off in her first performance. I think MTV staged all those Britney awards too but I can say Britney did look great.
Rihanna looked like a dyke last night. And that performance was wack, as is all of TI’s performances…I think X-Tina did the best, IMO…
I was bored by “Whatever you like” and that’s sad cuz I love me some TI… I actually liked Pinks performance.. that girl can sang!! I thought the British dude was kind of funny.. I like sarcasm I guess… and I am feeling like the rest of you.. I didn’t even know Brittney had a damn video to be video of the year… in my best Flav voice… “woooooooooow.”

Rright before TI took to the main stage it was like superstar, RiRi, all she did was she the hook and she made up for the horrible performance in the opening. RiRi is a superstar there is no denying that, her performance could have been better, i saw her @ Essence and she was worst..

I think MTV had Britney in rehab/lockdown for the past few months to avoid the embarrassment she pulled last year. She made them the laughing stock of TV Land. She is getting ready to act up again in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…….

Rihanna tour up the VMA’s alright, I have never understood the fasination of this girl and while I was crying through her performance I understand why.. First off she was lip singing during her and TI’s performance.

Pink killed it hands down she had the best performance of the night. I was disappointed in christina cause I was excited to see her. she was lip synching and she looks like she had some work done to her face.

I didn’t even watch. I don’t have a DVR and cannot possibly sit through the whole thing without wanting to fast forward through most of any of these award shows they put on now. I remember when I was younger I HAD to see them all, but no more. I did see some pics though, and no matter how manufactured it was, Britney looked great! Way to do a comeback. T-Pain always looks like a circus freak, so no surprise there. I will have to go look for the Pink performance online, that girl can SANG and I’m always excited to see her perform. Rhiyawna?! Please, that girl is always stiff as a board.
