Yesterday (yes, Christmas day) I received a call from a newspaper friend over in London (my birthplace), who informed me that rumors are running rampant over there about Beyonce and the new X Factor winner, Alexandra Burke.
It seems Beyonce is busy courting the extraordinarily beautiful Alex something fierce!
My friend said Bey has been burning up the phone lines calling Alex daily. And she said Bey rcently sent Alex on a shopping expedition to high end boutiques in London on her dime so Alex could buy clothes to wear with her on tour.
My source said Beyonce, 27, was sooo impressed with Alex that she has invited the 20-year-old to go on the road with her and record a single together!
According to The People newspaper, Alex couldn’t believe her ears when her idol told the show’s producer Simon Cowell, “I want to work with this lady. She is going to be a massive star.”
A source told The People newspaper:
“In the dressing room, Beyoncé told Alex she’d like to work with her in the future and suggested the possibility of recording a new single together. She also said she’d love Alex to take part in her UK tour, possibly as a support act, although nothing is set in stone yet.” (LINK)
They say Beyonce and Alex first laid eyes on each other during rehearsals for X Factor — and the two have been inseparable ever since!
Burke is the record holder for most singles sold in a 24-hour period in London. Her single “Hallelujah” sold 105,000 copies in one day. But she certainly isn’t an established artist. And nothing the 20-year-old has accomplished musically warrants all this attention that Bey is lavishing on her.
I hear Alex is so smitten with Bey that she has sworn off men. She recently told a fashion magazine that men were a waste of her time and space! (LINK)
