NASHVILLE, TN (March 13, 2009) – Grammy Award winning Gospel superstar, BeBe Winans, has released the following statement amid allegations of assaulting his ex-wife:
“To be accused of these allegations, which arose out of a child custody right dispute and my desire to spend time with our children as court ordered, is nothing less than heart wrenching. Since I choose to say nothing negative about my children’s mother, I will make no comment other than to say the allegations are inconsistent with my character and the foundation upon which I was raised and I am prayerful that the matter is straightened out very soon for the sake of our children.”

Ok OT: Is he talking to us or her? Sounds like he’s droppin’ hints lol.

iF it WAS domestic violence .. WHY A MONTH .. why did it take a MONTH … hmmm could it be all the hub bub about then two .. so they want to add fuel to the black men abuse women fire …
I believe you BeBe .. and I never thought you were gay.
mumbles to self… not ALL sucessful raised in the church don’t have the pants saggin callin thier women baby momma’s or sitations are gay
I hope BeBe knows we don’t think he BEAT or assaulted his wife. He pushed her down. I am sure he was just doing the old PAB (push a b*tch) to get her off him. Chris Brown should have done the same thing.
Isc u r correct not all church men are gay but BeBe has always been suspect to me

Freudian slip?
@ smokie
we all know domestic violence goes on all the time, but for the record
other black women are not bitches
there is no such thing as legitimate PAB, as you call it
in any case, that’s not what BeBe did, he didn’t push her he pushed her down on the dayum floor..probably in front of their kids..how is that justified..it isn’t.
Lord help we self-hating black women..we are the only women on the planet who defend these nasty, sorry azz men that abuse our own sistas..this is a pathetic but all too common mentality, ladies we have GOT to do better than this
tell ya what why doesn’t your daughter’s boyfriend push her down then see what you think
and as far as “BeBe” (gay azz name in the first place) being homosexual, just look at the pictures..the guy sets off gaydar like a break in sets off an alarm..
and he’s not possibly gay, he would seem to be DL…yes, DL men are fruits and faggots, with their lyin azzes
whereas out and proud gay men who are not misogynistic and who treat both women and men with respect are FABULOUS
take care and get some enlightenment and education Smokie, you’re gonna need it

Sandra has pages and pages of chris Brown, Rhianna post with Black women on there voicing their opinion and I can tell you it differs from what you just stated.
I think some ppl have confused supporting Chris through this ordeal as defending him. His actions that night were wrong no way around that he needs to accept responsibility and face the music in court. I also feel RiRi should be held accountable for actions as well that night if she indeed hit him numerous times as well as with her shoe. I do not feel eithers career should be over forever over this one incident. I feel they both came from abusive homes n need to be on somebodys couch. I choose to try and offer enourgement vs throwing ppl esp. Young folks under the bus. If this were a pattern as he was beating her to a pulp day n and out that would change my point of view I do not see that being the case at this pt. I believe her silence speaks volume as well. I do not condone domestic violence at all I love myself and my fellow sisters to much for that.
13mjoylaw, who are you?
