Frankie & Neffie can’t bring out the big guns?

Not one local celebrity showed up for the Frankie & Neffie premiere party in Atlanta last night. Not one — unless you call Ms. Sophia, co-host of the Frank & Wanda Show on WVEE, a celebrity.

According to Tami of Talkingwithtami.com, the club was packed, but it doesn’t take much these days to get folks to attend an event where there is the potential for mess to happen. Everybody loves mess and that’s why the airwaves are full of nig-norant shows like this one.

R&B Diva Keyshia Cole has to be happy she is no longer contributing to the ignorance. I’m sure she didn’t expect her show to give birth to this ghetto travesty.

Dang did Keycole even show up?

If I was a “celeb” I wouldn’t have showed either. 2 scared I would get jacked by one of Frankie’s hood friends.

& it takes a lot (as we know from this site) for those d list celeb’s to miss a party.

I wanted to see this show, so I tuned in last night for the premiere. After seeing how horrible it was, I did not watch after the first 15 mins. That guy with the beard and perm, I say no I will not watch. I just don’t see any solutions in this show, it really sad to see what entertainment has become in black culture.

One other point I thought was laughable. Frankie is getting a clothing line, and I think she mentioned a perfume. I mean come on now. STOP THE MADNESS!

It is a shame that they have given them a show and now after the Housewives of ATL, now this, ATL is going to be the laughing stock of reality television. Neffie having all those damn kids and not even married. They know that they are considered a pay check to anyone who is with them. Not Keycole, but those two need to sit the f**k down and stop making themselves look stupid. Frankie look like she smoking again. Neffie where them damn eyelashes everywhere. Let me stop.

@ice Frankie and Neffie were on the radio yesterday they said then KeyCo would not be there and they couldnt really say for sure if she was even in town. Remember the rumor that KeyCo was trying to get the show pulled but I guess it was to late. I never understood that she knew they were a hot mess on her own show!

OMG I forgot about those spiders Neffie had hanging from her eyes. Btw that, those wigs, those dudes (inc Soullow) was all a mess. One big ghetto crackhead mess.

I feel sorry for Keyshia. I mean we all have a lil crazy somewhere in the family. But to have your Bizness put on front street for the world to see when you are trying to become a cross over celeb, is not a good look. If anything they both need to get their shyt together for the sake of Keyisha.

I tried watching last night and this show is horrible. Frankie looks like she is back on drugs. She looked a little better on Keyshia’s show. BET should be ashamed of themselves. I’m thinking about pitching a reality show about a professional black woman that work with rich, dysfunctional crazy white folks!

I am not sure her show would have worked without her mom and sis, she is not controversial enough by herself. I know I did not watch the show to see Keycole. I don’t like this spinoff, it is not entertainment but tragic.

@Anna well then KC shouldnt have done the show at all unless it was going to focus on her making a new cd or touring again she knew how her fam was when she decided to let them on the show.

When the show first aired it was about Keyshia and her life. Frankie didn’t show until the 2nd season.. I guess to show the real in her reality. I don’t think Keyshia knew how it would turn out because she didn’t really have a relationship like that with Frankie. Remember she was in jail a lot and not in her kids life. Nor did she know her mother “sober”.

But

Because America loves ghetto; EBT ran with it. I think by the time Keyshia realized what a fool they were making her look like she pulled out but EBT kept it going.

@attymom I can see Neffie trying to get past it all as well. She wants better but doesnt know how to take the next steps to make it happen but I hope with God and the life coach she can make it ova. She said her book comes out in Sept.

Its only one episode in. Please tell me what I’m suppose to give her credit for? I didn’t hear her say she was working? I didn’t hear her say she was going back to school? I didn’t hear her say she was doing anything to better her life any more than what Frankie said.

She has a book coming out. Frankie has a shoeline. She has tee shirts. Frankie has a clothing line. These are things that are afforded to them bc they are on that show, nothing they went out and worked for.

Oh I guess because she is seeing that life coach that Mannie set them up with. Again that’s for the show nothing they seeked out themself. Just like they saw that Dr. Last season.

Neffie is no different than Frankie in my book. She is loud, disruptive and a borderline alcoholic (from what I remember on the show). Before Frankie was released from jail (1st season) Neffie was the Frankie of the show. Maybe this is your first time tuning in. But Neffie has had her outrageous moments. 3 seasons 2 new babies 2 new baby daddies and a husband still under her belt. Aren’t you one of those people who shyted on A. Keys for messing with Swizz before the divorce was final. Do the rules change bc its a woman moving on?… not beefing just saying.

@Iscream, Please tell me how you really feel about Neffe. Sidebare: I did not know her divorce was not final. Wow.

I am not making any excuses for Neffe’s poor decision making abilities, but she has a lot of issues to work through in her life. My cousin, who had a mom (my aunt) addicted to drugs that abandoned her, shared with me some of her horrible experiences she had in the streets and crack houses with my aunt. I am still crying over it because I never knew about the rapes and molestation. So I have to be a little more understanding with Neffe because I am sure that she had some similar experiences.

Besides, were you raised or abandoned by a crackhead or drug addicted mother in your youth?? Did your momma prostitute you to purchase her drugs??

Leave Neffe alone.

I have to agree. I tried to give Neffie some credit for acting a little better, but everytime I turned around she was preggers again by a new man and if I recall correctly she got that last dude’s named tatted on her. I was through with her then. The ghetto is just too deep in some folks and they can’t be saved. Hell not even Key Lo Lo can shake it and she’s rich or at least getting there. I’m scared to watch the show.

I know some people that have had some of Neffie’s experiences and I have had some myself. Well actually your cousin’s experiences. We don’t know that Neffie has. None of us are popping out babies every five minutes by a new man and tatting these random negroes names on our bodies. Neffie is grown. She can’t keep using excuses from 20 years ago. She has to move past it. If she wants to fall in love and have unprotected sex with every negro that says hello to her than she might want to consider birth control. Hell at this point she could stand to get her dang tubes tied.

I don’t like getting personal on blogs (big brother is watching) but yes I was. Was put in foster care when I was 11 and made something of myself. Never was pimped out by my mother but she is a mirror image of Frankie (jail, drugs, loud. my bf even calls me Keyshia Cole, lol) My mother has since turned her life around (sobered up) and we have a relationship but I have walked in the shoes.

I agree 100% I bust my arse to make sure my son has a better life than I did. I own my apartment (in NYC), car, graduated from college (first in my family), I work (never been on the system) and I don’t have nobody to thank for it but myself. It took me a long time to get over my past but now that I have moved on, I am truely happy. I’m in the works of trying to get my book published (hope my SR fam supports it. it’s getting a great buzz).

sorry but as I said Neffie can do better and she has the outlet to do so. She has a rich sister and a TV show to help support her. She needs to make the best of the situation. As they say strike while the iron is hot.
