Besides the declining polls, here is more evidence that the honeymoon is over for U.S. president Barack Obama. US NEWS describes another prelude to Obama’s fall from grace:
This time last year, the Obama Store was teeming with customers. Ideally situated in the basement of Washington’s Union Station, the store was filled with consumers eager to buy anything with Obama’s likeness while others took pictures of the life-size cut-outs of the president and first lady. Now, the Obama Store is boarded up.
How quickly things change in a year.
Not surprised at all.
Duh, it was the beginning of an election year and everybody wanted a piece of history. He’s in now and you can buy all the Obama stuff for $0.99.

It is funny how the media is on him about the 1 year he has had in office. What did people really expect for him to accomplish in 1 year?

Whose bright idea was it to open a full store, dedicated to one theme, Bet it was a whiteman who underestimated the Obama t-shirt trend, should have gone with a tent or a rolling kiosk. Poor business choice and bad investment has nothing to do with OUR PRESIDENT.
I agree with ggouch. I don’t own any Obama paraphernalia–but if I did I would only want a mug or something. I don’t do shirts or hats like that, not my thing. Focus that energy on something a little more useful like books for the needy or underprivileged children.

Just a friendly reminder in order for things to get going you need Congress to back you up. Presidents do have power but you need Congress and the Cabinet to have your back and seeing that they are shutting ideas down that is for the better of the people things will take awhile. Sorry ladies…but I work 2 blocks from the White House and frequent Union Station and there was never an “Obama Store” just selective stores that sold everything from White House memorabila to Welcome to DC shirts…so if one of those stores went out of business there are plenty of stores still on the block selling President Barack Obama shirts, pics, hats, etc….sorry to put a damper on your day

I go through Union Station every day on my way to work. There indeed was and still is an Obama store. I passed by it today. It has not closed, and I’ll take a cellphone pic and pass it along to you Sandra.
No only is there a store but there’s also an Obama kiosk.
While I’m not denying his star is fading and people are ready for results to back up his stellar speeches, this story is false.

The store is on the basement level where the food court is, if you’re getting on the red line and take the escalator down near the front entrance, you’ll pass by it when you’re walking to the subway. It’s across from the pharmacy.

If we put ourselves in someone elses shoes we become better ppl. I don’t know why anyone would choose to be gay, it seems difficult to me, which is why I have always thought that gay ppl didn’t choose to be gay it is who they are and I didn’t know you had to be straight to be a devoted Christian.
