1.) You say you have been having problems for 10 years. Is that due to 10 yrs of cheating b/c you are clearly capable of doing that.
2.) You state that you dont want to “respond to the foolery” but we are clearly watching this tape in addition to reading your dumb ass rants on twitter
3.) You speak about needing a woman/friend that is your equal. You are trying to present yourself as “above the nonsense” but throw insults to Mashonda like its nothing. What happens if Alicia Keys gets bigger is you are no longer on “her level?” What happens when AK thinks you’re cheating b/c you cheated with her?

There have been pictures of Swizz & AC together before the separation so it is true that Swizz was cheating during the marriage.

I dont think Kimora’s situation is a good example. Both parties wanted “out.” In this case, Mashonda was clearly still fighting for her marriage. If I was AC, I would tell him to get the divorce first b/c its not my place to help dissolve your marriage. If the love is/was THAT strong, Swizz will be there.

Alicia Keys can’t break up ANY marriage unless she’s one of the spouses. If the two people in a marriage can’t hold it together, then that is where the marriage starts to fall apart…between those two people. There are temptations all around. I had a friend who planned a wedding and was a week away from it but her ex-husband wouldn’t sign and return divorce papers. WHY would you plan a wedding and then be scared that you can’t get married because you’re still married to someone else?

Celebrity divorces usually take a long time especially if there wasn’t a pre-nup involved or if a spouse contests the divorce. This could be the case for Swizz and Mashonda. If she wanted to work on the marriage, she probably refused to sign the paperwork. Contested divorces can last up to a few years.

Umm I’m probably gonna get called all kinds of names for this but my divorce isn’t finalized but I still date and I’m sure I’m not the only one. Were legally seperated in the eyes of the law but he left the state and refuses to cooperate and to have my divorce granted on grounds of abandonment takes 3 years which it hasn’t been yet. So what would you guys who consider it cheating still suggest I do? I’ve never lied to a man about it and am always upfront but believe it or not this happens more often then you realize. And there is a HUGE difference between seperating and being legally seperated. One is a legal process just like a divorce. It seperates your assets, assigns support if neccesary, custody of the kids and everything. The only thing you can’t legally do until the divorce is signed is get remarried. If you haven’t walked in a persons shoes you can’t judge them cause you really don’t know what you’ll do until you’re faced wuth a similar situation

1)A woman should never ask a man to choose between herself and his child. I know I would never pick a man over my child(if I had 1). When you date a man/woman with children you have to accept that relationship and always know there will be some kind of interaction between the parents too!

2) I never went through no man phone and he better not be looking in mine! We are not 16 (although I never did that mess then either)

I feel for Mashonda but this is getting old. Swizz has moved on with Alicia and I hope she has moved on with her life as well. Sh** happens! You live and learn.

And anyone who’s ever filed divorce papers they don’t go by the date you file they go by the date of seperation. Yeah some men (and women) lie just to cheat but not all. And a bitter, angry ex will drag a divorce on for years just because. Plus in my state if you have children you’ve gotta go through court ordered mediation as well so the process is long and expensive if both parties are not in total agreement. I’m not in their draws so I don’t know if they slept together before the seperation but once he moved out and the papers were filed, they’re good in my eyes because I’ve been there well I am there

Typically it doesn’t take along time to get divorced. But if one person holds out for any reason. It makes the process longer. I have a friend that got engaged to a guy that was married on paper, but separated from his wife. They were living in two different homes and had been separated for over a year, but his wife refused to sign the divorce papers. I can’t call AK a home wrecker, because the only two people who really know what’s going on is Swizz and Shonda. Everything else is pure hear say.

@Mseverything I have cuz and gfriend in your same shoes and they date. Their hubbys both moved out of state and everything as well. You are good you filed and did your part life goes on IMO. Thank you!! I had a friend who went through a hard divorce. He was legally seperated from his wife for 2 and a half years but he was in the military & deployed and his wife had legal state rights to choose not to sign the papers unless he was present…a power of attorney couldn’t break that…it took forever for that divorce to finalize.

There are extenuating circumstances & not all situations fit into a box.

That being said those men who say “I’m seperated” need to just keep it moving…cause they can be seperated tonight and make up tomorrow

A friend of mine and her husband were separated and it wasn’t a problem with her dating other people, but the min he started dating someone…..she went crazy. Some women are like that.

I am sorry for your troubles. What state are you in? Here in VA they have rules for divorce if minor children are involved. I think the legal separation period is longer before a divorce is decreed.

It sounds like he just took too long to end the marriage. Plenty of men of means have women who are housewives and they do just fine. He just had the wrong woman for him. Its obvious she is very insecure so she’s not going to do well with a man in the entertainment industry. Heck he’s saying she couldn’t even deal with the fact that he had a child that wasn’t by her. I’ve never had a problem with him and Alicia’s relationship. I wish them luck. Hopefully Mashonda can move on gracefully going forward because so far she has been VERY bitter. It’s over. Accept it.

@ SugarPieHonyBunn, I agree with you. And, to add to that, I feel that Swizz and Alicia are wrong. I could care about perople calling Mashonda “bitter” – I hate that word actually and the man is her HUSBAND. Had Swizz elected to put forth more effort into saving his marriage rather than gallivanting around with someone new, there may have been a chance for reconciliation. However, from what I have read of the situation, Mashonda was unaware of Alicia and was not informed by her HUSBAND that their marriage was totally over. Yes, it is a done deal now, but Mashonda can feel wahtever she likes and no one should criticize. Save that for Swizz and Alicia. Karma is inevitable..
