A white bank robber wearing a mask depicting a black man was able to elude capture because Ohio cops thought they were looking for a black male. The brazen thief robbed four banks before being spotted by an alert police officer.

Conrad Zdzierak, 30, has been charged with multiple counts of aggravated robbery after robbing four banks and a CVS pharmacy on April 9, reports ABC News affiliate WFTS in Tampa.

Detectives say Zdzierak was initially able to elude the cops because of his disguise, an expensive silicon mask called “The Player” valued at around $650.

"The suspect seen in the surveillance photographs and that we were looking for, we believed to be an African-American male. The suspect was actually a male, white, who was wearing an elaborate disguise," Springdale, Ohio, Police Lt. Michael Mathis told WFTS.

Investigators believe Zdzierak likely removed the mask between the robberies in order to confuse the cops who believed they were looking a black man.

The authorities caught a break when they spotted a Volvo with its interior splattered with red dye from a dye pack slipped into a bag used to hold the stolen money.

Police found Zdzierak hiding in a motel bathroom.

"He wore what I’m calling a ‘Hollywood quality’ mask," Mathis said. "These things cost $600-$700." Read More...

Don't forget the Carol DiMaiti Stuart case in Boston. Her husband shot and killed her while she was 9 months pregnant and then said a black man with a hoodie did it. Then they arrested all black men in Mission hill with a hoodie on the word of a white man, though witnesses couldn't corroborate his story. The sorry bastard killed himself though

  • Redeemed777

As far as my human mind is concerned this person should be put in front of a firing squad.

No pity here, cause if it was one of our own that did this WE would have crucified him.

Nope. It was the dude she was dating! He told her he couldn't be with her because of her children (or something to that effect) so she told him she could get rid of them!

I give hugs, kisses, and positive thoughts to ALL single mothers who are making it work!!!

My mom was a single mother for most of my life and I have never felt like I missed out on anything. She had me right after she had enlisted in the Navy and they don't get paid a lot...she told me that some days she went without food to make sure I ate...which lots of mothers do and I love them for that!!! I guess why thats why everytime I see stories about kids that get kidnapped or killed by parents/gaurdians it literally hurts my heart because its for selfish reasons.

    @chase,

I still don't get why he had to kill his wife though, because he was scared that he was about to become a father and his wife might not be able to go back to work to afford their lifestyle? Why wait until after she's preganant to start thinking that, stupid momofuku actually identified a suspect in the lineup too. He was more than a coward, he was willing to ruin someone else's life and kill his own flesh and blood for a life sytle.

adding to more stories...the story of rosewood, florida where during the civil rights era, a white woman said a black man raped her, and it was really a white man she was cheating on her husband with. The white men had no idea who they were looking for, which was really a person who didn't exist, but they targeted every black man in the town and it end up causing a riot where lots of black people were killed. If anyone gets a chance to watch the movie (Rose Wood: directed by John Singleton), it's a great movie!! I had no idea this actually happened until I saw this movie.

parents do make sacrafices for their children. My moms dying wish to my dad was to keep the kids together. My dad did just that and some were not his. He never remarried but we always had female role models in our lives. It's not that my dad didn't have a few women who wanted to marry him w/5 kids, he had his hands full already. We all grew up successful. We didn't join gangs or go to prision, we grew up poor but we stayed togeter. To this day we are still a close knit family. We have get togethers for no reason other than to share each others company. I don't get how a parent can harm any child let alone their own. To all the parents doing their best you can to hold it down, keep on keeping on, kids will reward later in more ways than you can imagine.

    Also @Man & @Krysi

Why are yall mad at Susan Smith & the other white women?

They were just "victims of their circumstances" and "groomed to fail," after all, right?

I mean all of her friends were married, happy & with kids, that's all she saw and knew she wanted & people were threatening her dream saying it would never happen. I mean, Nobody had ever showed her there was a different way & that she could still find a decent man and get married even with her kids! Drastic times call for drastic measures, don't they? "Don't tempt the good."

Personal responsibility is not always an option though...so......why yall don"t want Susan Smith to get her "second chance" even after her "mistake?"

What's so different? At least they killed their own kids....people in the drug game seem to be offing OTHER people's kids....how selfish!
