Let’s face it: US president Barack Obama is not qualified to run this country. It has nothing to do with the fact that he is black, it has everything to do with the fact that he is not qualified.

Conservatives are so enraged at Obama’s socialism and radicalism that they are increasingly surprised to learn that he is incompetent as well. The sight of his blithering and blustering while the most massive oil spill in history moves closer to America’s beaches not only reminds one of Bush’s terrible performance during Katrina, but calls to mind Jimmy Carter’s incompetence in the face of the hostage crisis.
America is watching the president alternate between wringing his hands in helplessness and pointing his finger in blame when he should be solving the most pressing environmental problem America has faced in the past 50 years. We are watching generations of environmental protection swept away as marshes, fisheries, vacation spots, recreational beaches, wetlands, hatcheries and sanctuaries fall prey to the oil spill invasion. And, all the while, the president acts like a spectator, interrupting his basketball games only to excoriate BP for its failure to contain the spill.
He doesn’t know how to stop the oil from spilling. He is bereft of ideas about how to create jobs in the aftermath of the recession. He has no idea how to keep the European financial crisis contained. He has no program for repaying the massive debt hole into which he has dug our nation without tax increases he must know will only deepen the pit.
Some presidents have failed because of their stubbornness (Johnson and Bush-43). Others because of their character flaws (Clinton and Nixon). Still others because of their insensitivity to domestic problems (Bush-41). But now we have a president who is failing because he is incompetent. It is Jimmy Carter all over again.
Who would have thought that this president, so anxious to lead us and so focused on his specific agenda and ideas, would turn out not to know what he is doing?
Clearly you know so much as a Professional Blogger, why don’t you run?

It was BUSH and the REPUBLICANS that repeatedly suggested to have offshore drilling. Yet, they didn’t request any sort of regulations. Now, they will try to put the entire clean up on Obama when the Exxon Valdez spill from the early 90’s isn’t entirely cleaned up.
What makes it even MORE hilarious, is that these SAME people couldn’t care less about the “environment!”
Anyway, there were a lot of people overlooking things because of the money involved.

I keep trying to tell my Husband that, in Africa the President says it and it is law, he/she is the end all be all, but here in the good ole US, not so much.
He.ll, even the way we vote with the whole Electoral College is a set up. The US is NOT truly a democracy in case anyone was confused about it. They would love you to think it is but it is not!
Don’t get me wrong, I love the Obama’s and I think Barak and Michelle are both brilliant minds. Does a President or any leader have to know it all to be successful?? Absolutely not, but they must have a good team surrounding them and be able to delegate. In this case, I think the latter still remains to seen; However, it has only been a year and half. But I’ll take Pres Obama over all that we have had.
The reason people are all in a huff, is because every minority with a cause thought that the rejected and despised, oppressed, descendant of slaves, Black President was going cure all the ails that the whiteman has caused them and make all of THEIR dreams come true. Well, he has no power people. He can say he wants something all day and if congress doesn’t….well there you go.
People better start going to God with what ails them and stop waiting on the Black President to fix it.
This is getting more and more ridiculous. I have no problem with people not liking Obama’s swag, his policies or whatever else you don’t like about him. It’s a free country. We don’t all agree. I thought Bush was the epitome of ignorant BUT I HATE when in defending your stand against Obama’s POLICIES, the blatant disrespect that ensues. It’s so obvious. I never called Bush “Cocaine Cowboy” or “redneck” or any other disrespectful name because it was NOT PERSONAL. When Obama is called BUBBA (which should be offensive to any person of color- YES SANDRA, even YOU), that is the indication that the issue is NO LONGER with his policies or performance. The issue is with him as a person of color.
At some point, we have to stop selling our souls for moneyand stand for what is right. Dr. King said “injustice ANYWHERE is injustice EVERYWHERE”. We can agree to disagree RESPECTFULLY but when Obama is called “BUBBA”, I take that personaly because I think the person making the reference is trying to be slick on the side (and appears to have gotten away with it on this site). Some things aren’t funny or entertaining in the least bit.
We fall so far so fast….on to the next one.
Obama is no better than other Presidents, they all have the same agenda and we re not priority. America is a business and its ran like a busines, so dont expect government officials to be about the people… thats what people are for, to do the jobs the government is not doing. Dont put hope into one person, just because that person looks like you doesnt mean they are for you. If they really cared, Republicans and Democrats would actually sit down and try to figure out actual solutions to the PEOPLES’ problems instead of trying to figure out how to discredit the other party.
I’ve always said that there needs to be a third party. I know that might not fix everything, but right now, Republicans and democrats alike, do whatever the f uck they want cause they know most people who have always been reps will always vote as such and the same for dems.

That’s been my take all along. Why can’t BP clean up their own mess? I don’t get it. Surely by now someone should have come up with some kind of idea to stop this. My question is do they want to? Remember the President wanted for us to start drilling in our own backyards and stop depening on other Countries for oil, now look, we have a oil spill that has been going on for over 40 days.
