Barack Obama Still ‘Grapples’ With Gay Marriage

According to the White House, U.S. President Barack Obama is “grappling” with his feelings on the whole gay marriage issue even as he orders the Justice Department to stop defending the defense of marriage act (DOMA) in an ongoing court case.

The dictionary defines the word grapple as “engaging in a close fight or struggle without weapons” ie, wrestling with his thoughts.

What this really means is Obama is about to flip flop once again in order to appease the gays so he has a better chance of being reelected in 2012.

Expect gay marriage to be legalized in every state of the Union by the time 2012 rolls around.

Every special interest group knows that this is the best time to squeeze whatever bill they want out of Obama because all he cares about is getting reelected. Obama is so predictable.

The Justice Department announced Wednesday that, at Obama’s direction, it would not defend the Defense of Marriage Act in a court case where it’s being challenged.

Spokesman Jay Carney said Obama has always opposed the Defense of Marriage Act as “unnecessary and unfair.” But Carney said there’s no change to how Obama views gay marriage itself.

Obama said in January that he is still wrestling with whether gay couples should have the right to marry. He said his feelings on the issue continue to evolve but he still believes in allowing strong civil unions.
