According to Amy Winehouse’s rep, Chris Goodman, the tragic superstar died alone in her bed after consuming a lethal cocktail of street drugs and alcohol Friday night:
“She was in her bedroom after saying she wanted to sleep and when he went to wake her he found she wasn’t breathing. He called the emergency services straight away. He was very shocked. At this stage no one knows how she died. She died alone in bed.”
Over the weekend, Outkast member Big Boi tweeted a link to this unreleased remix of Amy’s “Tears Dry On Their Own” by the Dungeon Family (Rico Wade and ’em)

@ GA….i haven’t bought the brushes because I don’t need all of them! I actually use some cheap brushes from CVS and they work fine! I won’t lie, I’ve been dying to buy a few brushes from MAC though because my friend said the quality is second to none!

I am totally feeling you on this. It is surreal when a singer that you love dies, especially under tragic circumstances. I wish I had made the trip to the UK to see Amy perform but I really thought I had time

I bought brushes at the beauty supply and they work fine but I hear the MAC brush is the best. I know a place that sales them discount here in Dallas so I will have to check on their price. Brushes give a more finished look that pads do

Concurred. I think that just might be my favorite track from her. ESPECIALLY the live version video. She killed it just sitting in a chair in a room with an acoustic guitar at what looked like a radio station. I played that video so much my kids were waling around singing when it hit.

Depends on what part of town you in South Dallas/Oak Cliff niggas are mostly your typical hood niggas…some parts of Oak Cliff are ok so you may find a few educated “thugs” around….North Dallas is where you gonna find your working man who puts on his suit and tie and breifcase…its a few hood spots there too, but mostly that’s where all the good clubs and restaurants are…if I ever move back to home to Dallas Im moving to North Dallas/Midtown…

@ Run… I get what you’re saying, however; NO ONE knows what went on between her and GOD during her final moment. Also, a person has to do more than “believe” to make it to Heaven. In the Bible that I know of -it says that a person needs to ask for forgiveness and repent of their sins. By simply repenting, asking God/Jesus to come into their life and accepting JESUS as their personal savior..their sins are blotted out, and what happened 10 seconds ago is erased and their name is added into the Lamb’s Book Of Life.
So what if she was faded before her death, if she took only a few seconds to accept Jesus into her life and asked for forgiveness..guess where she is?! No man here on Earth has a Heaven or a Hell to place anyone into, and just because you may “know” of the faults of a person.. GOD knows the eternal resting place. I serve a God of mercy, and forgiveness to those that are of knowledge and ask for it.
With that being said, Rest in Peace Amy.. I sincerely hope that not only she but anyone that has faced an untimely death got it right for their soul’s sake! #Amen

All this makes sense first Im pleased to know Im not the only paranoid woman who thinks all men in ATL are DL and more importantly yes it makes utter complete sense to me that the males are now more emotionally involved than females which in turns acting like a lady!
I am so heartbroken over her unsurprising death (no sarcasm intended). She is one of an extremely short list of artists whose ENTIRE music catalogue is enthusiastically played by me. Every song was wonderful, and I pray that other priceless talents out there that may be somewhere wasting their gift and their life get a wake up call from this.
I read somewhere that her record company has enough recordings for three albums. Amy Winehouse never felt it lived up to the Back to Black album and her label wHas waiting for her to get well before releasing an album. She did a recording with Tony Bennett in March. Hopefully, they’ll release an album.
