According to emails revealed by Wikileaks today, the U.S. Marines did not bury Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden at sea following his execution in a Pakistan raid by Navy seals on May 2, 2011.
Instead, the classified emails reveal that bin Laden’s body was “bound for Dover, [Delaware] on [a] CIA plane” and then “onward to the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Bethesda [Maryland]…”
That account makes more sense than the original version that was fed to the world by the Obama administration — that Bin Laden’s bullet-riddled body was washed, wrapped and buried at sea in accordance with Muslim tradition.
The emails were leaked from the U.S. intelligence firm Stratfor, which is sometimes referred to as the “shadow CIA” by some in the media.
“If body dumped at sea, which I doubt, the touch is very Adolph Eichman like,” wrote Stratfor’s vice-president for intelligence, Fred Burton. He was referring to the death of one of Adolf Hitler’s henchmen, who carried out Hitler’s “final solution” by murdering millions of Jews in death camps in Nazi Germany.
“Eichmann was seen alive for many months on trial before being sentenced to death and executed,” wrote Burden. “No comparison with suddenly burying him at sea without any chance to view him which i doubt happened [sic],” Stratfor CEO George Friedman replied.
In another email Burton says Osama’s body “is a crime scene and I don’t see the FBI nor DOJ letting [the body be buried at sea].”
Wikileaks started leaking the Stratfor emails in February. More than 5 million emails were reportedly stolen from one of the firm’s email servers by notorious hacker group Anonymous.
