After being the butt of Honey Nut Cheerios® jokes all week, reality TV star La La Vazquez broke her silence last night. The 30-year-old socialite tweeted: “Not for nothing, but we ALL deserve a check or some free cereal 4all the publicity we’ve given Honey Nut Cheerios! LOL.”
NBA star Kevin Garnett of the Boston Celtics allegedly taunted La La’s estranged husband, Carmelo Anthony of the NY Knicks during a game on Monday night. Garnett is alleged to have said, La La ‘tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios’ or ‘looks like Honey Nut Cheerios’. The taunting provoked Anthony to wait for Garnett outside the Celtics locker room to confront him after the game.
The NBA suspended Anthony for one game for forgetting that he is a world class athlete who is paid millions to play a child’s sport. Anthony may have been unusually sensitive because the NY Post confirmed that Anthony and Vazquez have separated after 10 years. Insiders say the couple are headed for divorce court. La La has dropped Anthony’s last name and she stopped wearing her wedding ring. The 3rd season of La La’s reality TV show ‘Full Court Life’ is set to premiere in February.
