Unemployed NFL player Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson is far from broke. The out of work reality TV star detailed his current financial situation in court documents filed as part of his ongoing child support case in Miami.
Johnson has a spotty employment history. His professional problems stem from his inability to control his big mouth, rather than his skills on the field.
Johnson, 34, was waived by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2011 — after spending 10 years with the ball club. Then the Patriots showed him the door after acquiring him in July 2011. Earlier this year, the Miami Dolphins took a chance on Johnson after the Pats cut him loose.
But the Dolphins quickly realized their mistake and gave him the boot one day after he was arrested for going off-script and head-butting his “wife” Evelyn Lozada.
Despite all of his vocational (and relationship) problems, Johnson is still flush with cash (if we are to believe the court documents).
In the documents, Johnson claims he subsists on a healthy income of $66,104.66 a month from sponsorships, handouts from sports groupies, selling his autographs, “self-employment, partnerships, and/or independent contracts.”
Johnson also claims more than $1.28 million in real estate assets, $600,000 in cars, $75,000 worth of furniture, $40,000 in jewelry … and practically NO DEBT, according to docs obtained by TMZ.
As for expenses, he shells out over $16,000 a month in child support (for his first baby mama); $5,000 monthly on entertainment (strippers, etc.); $3,500 on clothes, $1,000 on pet expenses and $250 on personal “grooming” [manicures and pedicures].
This is good news to groupies and strippers who thought Johnson was a waste of a lap dance.
