Nearly 2 million viewers tuned in to watch the premiere of Bravo Network’s new reality series, Married to Medicine on Sunday night.
The series, based in Atlanta, explores the lives of pampered doctors’ wives and 2 black female doctors who run their own thriving medical practices. The show veers away from the usual mundane scripted farce that other reality shows offer.
Unlike the original cast members of Real Housewives of Atlanta who ended up losing their homes, the well-to-do couples in M2M own their fabulous homes outright. And, unlike other reality shows, the doctors have real patients and they practice real procedures.
A quick search of the local MLS (multiple listing service) shows Mariah Huq and her chiropractor husband own a large lakefront home in an ultra exclusive subdivision in Jonesboro, south of Atlanta’s busy Hartsfield airport. Their wealthy neighbors includes rapper T.I. and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris.
And cast member Quad Webb-Lunceford’s 2-story custom home in the revitalized Guilford Forest subdivision is practically paid for. Her neighbors include Mayor Kasim Reed, who’s 24-hour police detail makes the neighborhood one of the safest in Atlanta.
In a tweet sent from her official Twitter page this morning, Mariah claims her $1.1 million home will be paid off in 5 years.
Mariah, who was accused of stealing Tamar Braxton’s act, tweeted, “Keep watching M2M it won’t disappoint we actually deal with some heavy issues”.
The other cast members include Kari Wells, Toya Bush-Harris, Quad and their attentive doctor husbands. Female physicians OB/GYN Dr. Jackie and Dr. Simone Whitmore rounds out the cast.
