Halle Berry dismissed rumors that she was trying to get pregnant to keep her man. The 46-year-old actress told CNN that her pregnancy came as a big surprise to her and expectant father Olivier Martinez, 47.
“I feel fantastic. This has been the biggest surprise of my life, to tell you the truth,” Berry told CNN. “I thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me,” she said. “So it’s been a big surprise and the most wonderful.”

In the interview, Berry said she doesn’t know yet if she is having boy, as has been reported by some media outlets. Berry — who confirmed her engagement to Martinez, 47, about a year ago — already has a five-year-old daughter, Nahla, with her ex-boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry.
The star also talked about her new collaboration with designer Michael Kors on a philanthropic campaign in association with the United Nations World Food Programme, which provides meals to needy children throughout the world.
Berry and Kors will jointly visit impoverished areas where the meals will be delivered, including locations in Africa and Syria. “I hope we go while I’m pregnant, so I can talk about prenatal care,” she said.
