Rap mogul Jay Z was among those who were shocked and saddened when a Florida jury acquitted George Zimmerman in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
Jay Z told Rap Radar’s Elliott Wilson he didn’t sleep for 2 days after hearing the not guilty verdict.
“We all knew there was still racism but for it to be so blatant… Didn’t Trayvon have a right to stand his ground?” he said, referring to the controversial self defense law.
Jay Z blasted wannabe cop Zimmerman for racially profiling the unarmed Miami teenager.
“Professionals are taught not to profile,” he said. “This guy is a novice; this guy is a f*cking mall cop. You can’t assess a situation and figure out what you’re going to do, that’s not what you do for a living.”
Jay Z and his wife, singer Beyonce joined thousands of demonstrators at a Justice for Trayvon march in New York last weekend.
The 43-year-old father-of-2 said he hoped Trayvon’s tragic death brings about a change in the law that transports America back to its lawless wild wild west past.
“Even that Stand Your Ground law; you can have a fight with someone, and if they are running away you can shoot them and kill them and you’re fine. What?!”
Jay Z added: “Hopefully this is the moment that changed that law and changed the way we interact with each other, and you hate that a child had to be sacrificed for that.”

@Razzle I shaved my hair off on March 23, I had like 3 bald spots round the edges and one in the middle…I always used the store brand castor but started using THIS castor oil around May. The hair on the bald spots aren’t as long as the other hair but it has filled it in a lot. It came in as soft lil golden peach fuzz hair (really easy to break off) but, it’s getting a lil stronger and darker in color now.
